Okay, so, the vast majority of my followers lately are here due to S.I.D.E, which I love---seriously, the Sanders Sides fandom is the sweetest, and I'm so damn passionate about this story that I never thought would get further than, like, ten chapters. But, of course, there are a few here from back when I was doing Wings of Fire fanfictions, and a couple (a COUPLE) who are here for my originals.
And the originals are actually what I'm gonna talk about right now, even though it's not even related to this universe.
Two of my originals are already on my profile---Avenging a Ghost is one that's probably not gonna be finished, and might even get rewritten entirely once I get inspiration for it again, and The Rogue Goddess is my child and my joy, but I'm currently focusing on the works that have more readers (i.e. S.I.D.E.) and I'll need more inspiration and... admittedly, signs that more people are interested to continue. Don't get me wrong, I still adore this group of chaotic, magical queer teens, but I'm gonna need more juice to push on (and formally introduce probably the most compelling and scary villain I've ever come up with).
Of course, I do have originals that aren't fully fleshed out, so this is just me spitballing ideas that are the product of an intense imagination and ADHD, but I will be outlying the premise and the main characters of them.
Let's dive in.
The Rogue Goddess
The premise
If you've already checked this out, I don't have any reason to go through it, but a lot of you probably haven't checked this out, so this is my way of introducing you. The idea is super complex, but it's in this world where every myth and story about magic is true, and it's considered a normal part of the world. The gods are governed by... well, God, but They're less of an all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful force and more of a stressed but mostly benevolent metaphysical being that keeps all the gods and magical worlds from destroying each other. And yeah, God is non-binary. Pronouns are They/Them with capital Ts.
The storyline's something you'll have to read to fully grasp, but the characters are something I can go into a little. I'll only be including the ones I formally introduce in the beginning, so as to avoid spoilers, and I won't be going that into characters whose backstories haven't been revealed yet, but as for everyone else... well, let's dive in.
The characters
Zarity: She's one of three main POV characters, and she's honestly one of my favorites. She's a panromantic ace, ADHD, geeky-as-all-hell thirteen-year-old magical creature who has to pretend to be a regular human, since her species is believed to be extinct (even though one of their powers is that mortal wounds don't have any effect on them). This is a pretty big deal for Zarity, since she really loves expressing herself and being herself, and not being able to do that is... really hard-hitting for her. When I first started writing her, she was pretty bland and one-dimensional, but as I decided to revamp her personality over the course of the drafts, she eventually turned into the chaos gremlin that she was always meant to be, and I love her for it.
Jay: He's main POV character number two, as well as being the only cishet person on the team---and he has two dads, which says everything that needs to be said about how I write stories. He's pretty famous due to his aunt being the U.S. president, and his dream is to someday be a secret agent---which is something that he can actually do, since his magic is all about channeling the powers of gods in case he ever has to go head-to-head with one. Jay's very sarcastic, tends to sometimes be a little cynical, and is really just one of the mom friends of the group, but he's also a very good friend, and a hell of a planner. He's a good boy.
