I didn't realize until I started typing this out, but I am very certain that the title could potentially signify Raine being a factor in Eda and Lilith splitting apart—after all, we can't forget their pronouns.

BUT WE'VE GOT A BACKSTORY FOR RAEDA WHO CARES LET'S HEAR MORE ABOUT THE OLD MARRIED QUEERS

So, right off the bat, we've got Luz trying out new glyph combos from Philip's diary—and oh, wouldn't you know it, the last two are spells that we've seen Belos use. How odd. How unexpected. That can't be foreshadowing Luz discovering the truth, can it? I mean, it's not like we've got canon confirmation that those two are the same exact person, right? Nah, that's crazy talk.

(Luz do your research on the Puritans and the colonial era and match that up with the entire way the Emperor's Coven runs there'll be a lot of overlap)

It's interesting how Luz is still relying on the diary even though she knows that Philip was/is... well, a bit of a sociopath—though it's easy to see why. It might be filled to the brim with embellishments and lies, but like it or not, it's the only way for her to get home, so she's gotta take what she can get. It's not like she's got a zodiac gremlin on speed-dial (and yeah, that's my nickname for The Collector, I'm already obsessed with him and he has literally one scene so far).

The way Luz, King, and Hooty just gather at Eda's feet is just... it's so sweet to me. They're her kids. They wanna know the secrets. They wanna hear a story. My babies.

Eda and Lilith were so damn cute when they were younger! It's so sweet! It hurts my heart but it's so sweet!

Dear god if we get a scene like that with Philip and Caleb in Hollow Mind I'm not gonna be able to handle it

Every single Hexside student should be thanking their lucky stars that Bump is in charge now. Principal Faust is legit terrifying. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he never actually retired and someone bumped (heh) him off so they got a sane principal instead. He even looks like someone to be feared.

Young Bump, though... cuteness. Absolute bean. Starry-eyed and full of life. It's so easy to see why he's such a good principal in modern day.

And Lilith and Eda used the shortcut room! Maybe it was a team effort!

It's not that surprising to see that Terra was always Like That. Also, I'm pretty damn certain at this point that she's the only OG Coven Head who refuses to retire. That woman will go out kicking and screaming, I just know it.

And young Raine. YOUNG RAINE.

They looked, sounded, and acted absolutely adorable back then. I adore how they were always a bard magic prodigy. And that little whistle spell! Bard magic is amazing!

I just... the butt. I can't handle this. I love you, Eda.

Raine and Eda becoming instant friends was the serotonin I needed. Thank you for this, Dana. We all needed it.

Again—not surprised that Terra decided to resort to letting children kill each other in order to fulfill her satisfactions. No, ma'am, you would not make a good mom.

And the little parallels? Eda being a "Coven" witch and Raine being a "Wild" witch when we all know it wound up being the other way around? Just break my heart, why don't you?

(Also we saw Willow's dads! They're Construction and Abomination! They looked so cute!)

And the fact that Raine ended up transferring to Eda's school and they've been besties ever since just tore at me. Everything from them giving her apple blood to their loving expression to just how adorable little Raeda is was perfection in every way.

Luz and King and Hooty just ended up napping how adorable is that

And now to the reason I legit shrieked...

Oh my—is that why he told Kikimora that he and Eber didn't need help? Were they just going to let Raine off the hook? Did he just overreact because Raine got mud on his cloak? Or did he only just now join after noticing how messed up Hunter is?

And what's with the draining spell????

Is this gonna lead into Hollow Mind? Is that how Luz and Hunter wind up in there? Was that part of the rebellion's plan?

I can't handle this. I can't. I absolutely can't. I have so many questions. Hooooly shit.
