Okay, so this episode was an emotional rollercoaster and I nearly cried several times (while my parents were IN THE ROOM WITH ME AND TAS) and it's a miracle that I haven't totally broken down...

But guys.

WE HAVE DEPTH FOR EDRIC.

I was a fool. I was an idiot. I thought that in canon, Edric would just show up every now and then and act as comic relief. I thought it was just wishful thinking to give him insecurities and a love for discovery and all of that.

But we have it. WE HAVE IT.

And now I will proceed to explain why this episode nearly made me cry.

So, we got a full intro this episode, but why was it not updated. Willow has a new hairstyle. Belos doesn't wear that mask anymore. WHY IS IT NOT UPDATED. DANA. YOU CAN'T GIVE US A VILLAIN DESIGN THAT AWESOME AND THEN NOT SHOW IT IN THE GODDAMNED INTRO. HMRGH.

(I have a fucking problem)

I absolutely love how Luz wasn't even mad that Willow befriended Hunter? Like, she just got his number and proceeded to blow up his phone in a caring-sister fashion? No big deal?

And either Hunter likes Ruler's Reach or saw posts about it and decided to use that name in order to better blend in... and honestly, I don't know which one is better. Kinda feel bad for totally glossing over that arc in Changeling Witch now. (Also he's sending pictures of Flapjack to Willow and he Cannot Type this is the best thing)

At this point, I am so hoping that we get to find out more about Alador and Darius, because I swear they're just teasing us at this point. Are they friends who are just petty with each other? Are they old school rivals? Are they exes?

Also, I do love how this episode brought up that Alador's still not the best parent, even though he actually seems to care about his kids. He's never around, he's kind of a pushover when it comes to what Odalia wants him to do, he's always busy with work—but I also love how it's clear that he's willing to do better. This totally amps up my characterizations of him in my stories.

Also, how many times has she used that voice altering spell???? That is ingenious!

I cannot tell you how stoked I was to see the twins again...

AND GUYS.

EDRIC WEARS GLASSES.

EDRIC *clap* FUCKING *clap* WEARS *clap* GLASSES *clap clap clap*

AND HE DOESN'T SHAVE AND HE WEARS WEIRD T-SHIRTS AND SWEATPANTS AND HE KEEPS HIS HAIR BACK IN A HEADBAND

Brb putting in a scene in Changeling Witch where Hunter sees Edric like this and has a heart attack from the sheer gay panic

Also Emira looks gorgeous with her hair down. She doesn't need that stone, she's rocking the zits.

Amity looks like a freaking button in this episode. The hairstyle. The earrings. The glasses. The dress. I want to hug.

I guess it was nice to see Warden Friendzoned again. I guess. I had way more fun with Eda threatening him, honestly.

Amity was such a badass in all of those fights, and Luz is such a supportive girlfriend, and I really want to see more of that sports-jacket-and-fingerless-gloves outfit in the future, Luz, and the messy hair. But please talk to your girlfriend about your issues. Please.
