• Hayes POV •
"Please call if anything happens." Kaye said for a third time. "Kaye, they're my nephews. I go this." Nash chuckled, putting an arm around Kaye.
"Maya?" Kaye asked, Nash's girlfriend.
"Don't worry Kaye, have fun." Maya told her. "Get dressed babe." I told Kaye. She nodded and rushed upstairs.
"Someone's nervous." Nash chuckled. Kaye and I haven't gone out on a date in forever, it wasn't till last month where I actually started planning dates, but Kaye was never up for it, so yes. I was nervous.
Alex crawled over to me and I smiled picking him up. "Hey bud." I said. He looked around and started to cry. I frowned and tried to get him to calm down, knowing that if Kaye heard she would stop what she was going and come down here.
I took him to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle. I gave it to him and he dropped it on the floor purposely. "Well I guess that's a no." I said. He continued to cry and I groaned, knowing he wanted Kaye.
I went upstairs to our room and Kaye was doing her makeup. Once Alex saw her he stopped crying, thank god. I sat on the bed and set him down on the bed as well.
He sat there looking at Kaye and I did the same. Do ever just see something in the store and you really want because it's so perfect, you just have to have it? Well, looking at Kaye, even though I did have her, I wanted her more, if that makes sense.
She looked over and smiled. I smiled at her and she walked more into the bathroom. When she was out of Alex's sight, he started crying. I picked him up and walked in there.
"Mommy is right there." I told him as Kaye put her black pumps or heels, whatever you call them on. He held his arms out for her and when she was done, she took him.
"You look beautiful." I told her. "Thank you." She said, kissing me. She grabbed her clutch and we went back downstairs. Kaye got Alex to calm down and she gave him to Nash.
"Have fun. don't do something you wouldn't want your mothers knowing about." Nash smirked.
We laughed and walked out. Me being the gentleman I am, opened the door for Kaye and she got in. I closed the door, but it stopped and I heard her scream. I quickly opened the door and she was holding out to her ankle.
"My foot wasn't in all the way Hayes." She groaned. "Aw baby, I'm sorry." I frowned. "I'm fine." She said letting out a laugh. I bent down and kissed her ankle. "All better." I said. She laughed and thanked me.
I closed the door and I got in there car. "So, where are we going?" She asked scrolling through her phone. I took her phone and threw it in the back seat. "Hayes!" She yelled, slapping me. I came to a stop light and she turned around, trying to reach for it.
I took my seat belt off and grabbed her waist pulling her back. "Hayes!" She yelled, going back for it. She ended up getting in the back seat and cars started honking. I mumbled to myself and kept driving.
She sat in the back with her phone, smirking.
I knew how to get my way in this situation. A couple weeks ago I learned how to cry, just so Kaye would feel bad for me like situations like this.
I started to cry and she started laughing. "You're faking!" She laughed. "I'm trying to do something nice for you and you're just worried about your damn phone and now you're laughing!" I yelled, still crying.
Of course I wasn't being serious, but it was funny to mess with her, plus it's cute when she feels bad.
"Hayes pull over." She sighed. "No." I said wiping my tears. "Please baby." She said. I pulled over and she climbed over the seat, sitting on my lap, facing me.
She took her thumbs and dried my fake tears. She kissed me and I kissed back. "I'm sorry." She said. "I don't think you are." I said. She folded her arms and I looked at her.
"Hayes!" She whined. "You hurt my feelings." I frowned. I should really be an actor or something, because I haven't cracked yet.
"What can I do to make you happy?" She asked. "Suck my dick." I smiled, knowing she wouldn't do it. "Hayes." She fake cried. "I'm really sad." I said.
"In the car?" She asked disgusted. "Everyone does it." I shrugged. She groaned and got off my lap. She looked as of she was going to cry and I started to laugh.
"I'm kidding babe." I chuckled. She groaned, laughing. "Sit back on my lap, I like it." I said. She sat back on my lap and wrapped her arms around my neck. She smiled down at me, our foreheads touching and I kissed her.
I moved my hands so they were on her butt, obviously. why wouldn't I? "I have a feeling you love my ass more than you love me." She said letting out a laugh. "It's true." I shrugged.
She laughed hitting me. I chuckled and she sat back down. I continued driving towards the restaurant. She turned the radio up and started singing and dancing. I laughed as I glanced over at her.
"Put your seatbelt on." I told her. She put it on and continued. I laughed and pulled into the restaurant. I got out and closed the door. I heard Kaye groan and I came to her side.
She was sitting down, staring down at ankle. I looked down and her ankle was swollen. "Aw man." I groaned. "I can walk." She shrugged, but I knew she couldn't.
"I got it." I smirked. I picked her up bridal style and as I went to get her out, she hit her head really hard. "Oh my gosh." I said. I knew she hit it hard because it hurt to the point where she was shedding tears.
I set her back down and I checked her head. "I'm fine." She said. "No, you're not, I'll fix this." I said. "Hayes, it's fine." She said. This night was supposed to be perfect and it's already ruined.
"I know where we can go." She smirked. She closed the car door and I got in the passengers seat.
She told me where to go and I smiled, going there.
We pulled up to the beach and she took her heels off. I came around and picked her up again, this time making sure I didn't hit her head.
I walked onto the beach and we sat down in the sand. "This dress was perfect for the beach anyways." Kaye shrugged, looking down at her dress.
"I'm sorry." I sighed. When I plan everything out and try really hard, everything ends up going the opposite way and it sucks.
We laid there talking about a whole bunch of things. It was nice to just talk without being interrupted. Ever since the twins turned one, we haven't had times like this and we can't always do this. it just sucks.
"I want some ice cream." Kaye said, snapping me out of my thoughts. I stood up and helped her up. "Get on my back." I said. She hopped on and wrapped her arms around my neck.
I carried her onto the pier and we wet to the ice cream stand. "Two vanillas." I told the guy. He nodded and I gave him the money, telling him to keep the change.
When we got our ice cream, we sat on the beach and Kaye stretched out her legs, resting her feet on me. I rubbed her ankle and she made a face. "What?" I asked. She shook her head and I sighed.
"Let's go somewhere quiet." She said as a whole bunch of kids started coming over. I nodded and helped her up. I dropped my phone and I went to pick it up. I heard Kaye yell in pain and I quickly shot up, turning around.
"What?" I asked. "I hate kids." She mumble, picking up a football. I snatched it and looked at the group of kids. "Is this yours?" I asked. They shook their heads and I saw a groups of guys who we're looking our way.
"Aye, right here!" One of them yelled.
I got an angry look and went over to them. "Hayes." I heard Kaye say, but I ignored her.
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
