• Hayes POV •

"Bye babies." Kaye smiled at the twins. Alex held up his arms for her and she picked him up. "Kaye, we have to go." I said. She nodded and put Alex down. I looked around for Dallas and I saw he was in his play pen.

"Mom!" I called. She came downstairs and I told her we were leaving. "Have fun and be safe." She said taking Alex from Kaye. "We will be." I said. We said bye and got in the car.

"There's no being rude." I told Kaye. "What is that supposed to mean?" She asked, putting her seatbelt on. "It means you're rude to Barbara, don't stoop down to her level babe." I said.

She scoffed and folded her arms. "Why would I stoop down to your whore." She mumbled. "She's not my anything." I said. She didn't respond and I started driving.

"Don't be mad." I said, grabbing her inner thigh. She moved her leg and I looked at her, then back at the road. "Baby, I just don't want any problems tonight." I said. "So you think I'm the problem?" She asked, trying to start an argument.

"I'm in a good mood, I don't want to argue." I sighed. She leaned her head on the door and I came to a stop. I pulled her arm, making her looking at me. "Look at me." I said, when she didn't look up at me.

She looked at me and I kissed her forehead. "Barbara is the one that starts it, I should tell her and not you." I said. "That's right baby." She smirked. I laughed and kissed her again, before driving when the light turned green.

"Babe, do ever think about moving back home? I know I already asked you, but I always think about it." She said. I loved California, but I did miss North Carolina sometimes. "But most of our friends and family are out here babe." I said.

She sighed and nodded. I felt like she was home sick. All she talked about was living California and now that we're here with our family, she just seems home sick.

"The moms don't just show up randomly on their own, do they?" I asked. She sighed shaking her head. "I get so home sick without them now and I don't know why." She said. I sighed and nodded.

I parked the car once we were in front of the restaurant. I grabbed Kaye's hand and she smiled. "You're so cute."
I smiled. We walked inside and everyone else was there sitting down.

"We're waiting for our table." Michael said. We nodded and I sat down. I looked to see Kaye couldn't because there was no more room. I chuckled before getting up. "Sit." I told her. She shook her head, motioning me to sit.

I sat down and pulled her on my lap. "I like this better." I told her. She kissed me and I smiled at her. "Stop." She laughed, looking away. "What did I do?" I chuckled. "You keep giving me love eyes like you want to fuck me right now." She said.

"Keep it to yourself you nasties." I heard Michael. "Stop they're in love." Barbara told him. Kaye looked at me, rolling her eyes, mimicking her. "Stop." I chuckled. "She makes me want to choke myself." She said.

"Michael, party of six." I heard. Kaye stood up and so did I. We walked to our table and sat down. "Why is she staring at you?" Kaye whispered at me. "She's literally looking at the tv behind me." I whispered back to her. I don't see why she was being so paranoid about Barbara being here.

"Can I start you guys off with drinks?" The waitress asked. Everyone started ordering and she turned to me. "I'll have a sprite and so will she." I said, nodding my head towards Kaye. "I'll have that out for you." She smiled at me.

When she left they all started laughing. "What?" I asked. "She was totally into you." Barbara's boyfriend, Brad said. I saw Kaye getting uncomfortable and I wrapped my arm around her, leaning her into me.
