Chapter 12 - It's the past

I groaned against his soft but hard lips that were against mine as my arms clung to his neck. His arms held me securely around the waist and I was at his mercy, unable to break his hold, even if I wanted to. His tongue snaked out and ran over my lips, demanding entrance and I was powerless to refuse him, again, if I wanted to, but nothing in me wanted to. I ran my nails over the back of his neck and into his hair as my tongue fought his, his moan vibrating all through me and centered in my core.

Fuck, he was doing me in and I couldn't stop him nor could I wrap my mind around him. But I knew that I wanted him. He wasn't the first wolf I had, although, something told me from within he would be the last. But he didn't have to mate or bond, we could keep this a casual fling, right?

He pushed me up against the wall; his had moving from my waist to my thigh, his fingers brushing up the short skirt. I groaned as all kinds of feelings flooded me, my body quickly heating up and wanting more.

I froze, though, as I heard the door open and quickly pushed Grayson a few feet away as Charles slowly opened the door and peeked his head in. I looked at Grayson as he shook his head slightly as if to clear it and then looked at me, a smirk slowly taking over those swollen lips.

"I'm sorry ma'am, you had an appointment." I flicked my eyes to the clock and groaned at how much time had flown.

"Thank you Charles. I'll be right there." Charles nodded as he closed the door behind him and I turned to Grayson. "Duty calls."

"So I see." He walked back over and gave me a light kiss, smirking as he pulled away. "I'll call you later." I nodded and watched as he walked out the door. I took a deep breath and gave myself a moment to compose myself before walking to the room.

"Are you going to tell me what's on your mind or are we going to play this game all night were you make me guess?" Dylan asked as he glanced down at Grayson from the chest bench bar.

"Who says anything is on my mind?"

"Are you kidding me Grasyon? Dude, you and I have been friends since were kids; hell, I've left to travel with you, so I like to think I know you pretty fucking well. And you only work out this hard when you got something on your mind, so spill." Grayson put the bar back and sat up, looking at Dylan.

"I found my mate, my sigma luna."

"Ah," Dylan said as he kneeled in front of Grayson. "Wondered how long you were going to take to tell me about Fire." Grayson narrowed his eyes at Dylan.

"How did you know?"

"Really? You ignored every she wolf at your party, you blew off Brittany, your childhood dream girl, I mean you do recall saying that you had every intent of making her the Luna. Anyways, all of that, and to be with Fire, and then you growled at me when I was flirting with her. Yeah, someone who knows you knows just what you found out."

"Point taken."

"Not a bad looking mate to have, I say." At that, Grayson growled and Dylan laughed. "Really, chill. How will it work between you two? No one has ever cross mated."

"Yeah, that's the problem we have run into; I don't really know. And the truth is I'm not sure I can handle having a different species as a mate."

"She would be one hell of a Luna."

"Oh, no doubt. And the attraction is there, as is the jealousy from her." Dylan lifted a brow.

"What happened?"

"We were talking about feeding and I asked, or confirmed rather, that feeding was done during sex..."

"Grayson, no you didn't! Why would you even bring that up?"

"I didn't mean to. I mean, we both have a past; I didn't think it would bother her so much."

"She is a female; she is your mate, of course that shit is going to bother her!"

"It's the past!" Dylan nodded at Grayson's comment and stood up, looking around and finally smirked. His eyes landed on the person he wanted and figured it was time to prove a point.

"Hey Seth, come over here." Grayson looked at the other guy as he came over and then looked at Dylan, wondering what the hell he was doing.

"Hey Beta, hey Alpha, what's up?" Dylan crossed his arms and Grayson narrowed his eyes as he caught on to that smirk from Dylan, knowing his friend too well.

"Seth, you know Fire right, the red eye sexy vampire? And I believe, if rumor is true, you had a fling with her. What do you think of her?" As Dylan got done asking, he made sure to keep his hand on Grayson's shoulder, knowing just how pissed he was going to be and wanted to keep him in check.

"Yeah, that rumor is true; the only vampire I've ever fucked with and oh my fuckin' word, she is hot and amazing in bed and probably one of the best kissers I've known. She does this move with her tongue and..." Dylan held up his hand to stop, knowing that anymore words and Grayson would kill him. "Hey, Alpha, you were dancing with her right? I would have loved one more night with her." Grayson muttered a 'yes' through clenched teeth, his hands clenching tightly and Dylan waved Seth off. Both men watched him go back to his machine and start working out again.

"What the fuck Dylan? You knew he had slept with her and you still brought him over..."
"To tell you, Grayson, that it doesn't matter, it's in the past and yet..."

"I still hurt and hate it. God, I had your points sometimes."

"And that's why I'm your Beta. Now that you understand her feelings, maybe you might want to try and not mention things like that." Grayson rolled his eyes and nodded. "So what happened after that?"

"Midnight took over. I spun her around looked in her eyes and all I....well we...could think of was kissing her; so we did. A pretty hard kiss that sent all kinds of tingles through me and honestly made me all the more turned on. And God damn Dylan, Seth is right, that woman can kiss."

"So, you think she ruined you for every other woman now?" Grayson just stared at him, thinking about that and the answer to that would be yes, she had. The kiss had meant to be helping her to ease the hurt and yet, now, all he wanted, or would want, would be those lips and be in those arms. Ah fuck, what would happen if they didn't make this bond work?
