Zia

The James family. The creme de la creme of Washington DC. The James family we're the modern day Huxtables of the city. They had two kids, TJ and Taryn. I only met them once, but I could tell they were nice, respectable kids. They all lived together in the James' mansion in an exclusive gated community in downtown Dc.

Delilah James. She's gorgeous to say the least, but her resting bitch face made you not want to approach her. Her ginger, shoulder length silk pressed hair complimented her caramel complexion well bringing out her almond shaped eyes and her perfect cheekbones. Her hands were neatly folded in her lap as she conducted this informal interview. To say the least, she's everything I want to be in the future. Beautiful, wealthy and successful.

Torrance James. A handsome and youthful man, but his energy wasn't inviting at all. He had a smug on his face and his eyes were plagued with boredom and dissatisfaction like this is the last place he wants to be. That's too bad because he's a very handsome man. He had smooth, chocolate skin and his low, neat haircut complimented his facial structure well. He was just as successful as his wife and yet he still isn't satisfied.

"And why should we hire you? What makes you think you're any more qualified than the rest of the candidates we interviewed?" Mr. James questioned sternly. His deep, baritone sent shockwaves through my body.

On top of Mr. James being fine as hell, that voice had me ready to fall on my knees. His serious and straight forward demeanor isn't helping either. For some odd reason, his sternness turned me on. I'm a pretty girl so I'm used to boys falling at my feet, I never really dealt with rejection.

I cleared my throat, "well for starters, I graduated at the top of my class so helping with homework wouldn't be an issue at all. I'm respectable, reliable and very caring when it comes to the little ones," I responded, giving them a warm, sincere smile.

Mr. James scoffed, "Alright then. Nice to meet you...your name? It must've slipped my mind that quick," he sneered.

"Zia," I mumbled.

Delilah, obviously embarrassed by her husband's action

I laid back on my bed trying to recollect today's events.
Torrance James. I couldn't shake the impure thoughts that filled my mind when I saw him. I know he's married and he's off limits, but damn. I can't help myself! As much as I want the job because I need the funds, a part of me wanted the job just so I can get closer to him.

I pushed the dirty thoughts of my potential future employer to the back of my mind and closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I groaned as my alarm sounded loudly indicating that it was time for me to wake up and start my day.

"I swear there's not enough sleep in the world," I complained.
I reached over on my nightstand and grabbed my phone. I unlocked it and my eyes widened when I saw I had two missed calls from the James household.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I cursed loudly at myself.

I quickly called the number back and I was greeted by the deep, masculine voice of the Torrance James himself.

"Hello Mr. James. I'm sorry I missed your calls, I was asleep when you called," I explained.

"It's fine, Zia. If you're going to be our live in nanny, you are going to have to have your phone available at all times," he said, making me frown.

"Of course, it won't happen again. Does this mean I'm hired?" I asked excitedly.

"Yes and you start today. Have your things packed to go and ready to be moved into our home by six o'clock this evening. Tomorrow will be your first real day of work and we will discuss further details and schedules tonight at dinner."

I accidentally let out a loud shriek of excitement, "Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me!" I exclaimed clutching my gold chain.

"The driver will be there promptly at six," he said before hanging up the phone abruptly.

I frowned at his rudeness, killing my excitement right where I stood.

Mr. James is a character to say the least. He's a mystery and for some reason I was intrigued by him. I want to see what he's about, but it's not going to be easy. One thing about me though is that I always get what I want.
