TJ and Taryn usually went with Delilah's parents on the weekends leaving me with nothing to do and a lot of time to enjoy my newfound freedom. It felt liberating not to be under my parents roof. Tonight, Terrance and Delilah are going on a date and I couldn't help, but feel a twinge of jealousy surge through my veins, but I'm not gonna go there with him. I'm not putting my heart on the line and I'm definitely not going to give him the satisfaction of thinking he controls me and my pussy now.
I do know one thing though. If he's going to be with Delilah, I'm going to be with whoever I please too.
Today I was going to the mall with my best friend, Karina, to clear my head a little and fill her in on my crazy ass first week at James' residence. I don't get to see her often because she attends college in Virginia so she isn't home that much anymore. After taking a shower, I began rummaging through my luggage that I still haven't finished unpacking for something to wear. Clearly i'm the queen of procrastinating.
I settled on a long sleeved black jumpsuit with a distressed jean jacket and my favorite 1s.
I tapped on their door softly and a moment later, it opened to reveal Delilah staring back at me as she struggled to put in her earring.
"Is everything okay, Zia?" she asked.
"Yes, couldn't be better. I'm actually just letting you know I'll be leaving in a few, should I take a key or?"
"Oh yes!" she chuckled, "Of course you're not going to lock yourself up in this house all day!" she left briefly and came right back with a shiny gold key and handed it o me.
"Thank you," I smiled.
I peeped Torrance lying back on the bed, shirtless with a sly smirk on his face. He's acting as if it meant nothing to him, but I know it's killing him too. I know he's dying to feel me again.
"Oh," she says. "Well..do you want a ride? I know you don't have a car yet and-," she suddenly stopped talking when Torrance rudely raised her hand cutting her off mid sentence.
"That's why there are buses for her to catch. We don't hand out rides to the help," he snarled, clearly irritated by my presence or maybe it was his wife's presence. You never know with him.
As much as I want to clap back at his ass, I quickly decided against it.
Instead I cleared my throat and smiled, "Nah, my best friend is actually coming to pick me up. That's very nice of you though."
"Honey, why are you rude to this girl? She's been nothing short of patient with your childish attitude!" she scoffed.
He shrugged, "I'm not rude to her. She gets treated like all the other employees around her. She ain't special," he spat.
She rolled her eyes before walking away while he remained at the door, damn near glaring a hole into my body. It's actually disturbing how he switches up so easily, but one day he's gonna snap and whatever his truth is will come out. I'll make sure I have my popcorn ready to sit back and enjoy the show.
I chuckled smugly before shaking my head and kissing my teeth. I stepped closer to him, "You know one day you're gonna have to face your demons, Mr. James. That's if they don't eat you up first," I snarled.
He didn't respond, only slammed the door in my face. I shook off that uncomfortable ass encounter and went to grab my purse.
Karina texted me letting me know she was out front and I was so relieved. I rushed down the stairs and out the door. Karina grinned and I squealed in excitement as I rushed towards her. I miss my partner in crime so much.
"My best bitch!" she exclaimed cheerfully.
"Hey babe! I missed you!" I gave my best friend a big hug and we got into her car.
"I missed you too bitch! Let's go blow some money and catch up. You hungry?"
"I got so much shit to tell you, girl. I'm over this fuck ass job already!" I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone.
Her eyes widened, "It's only been a few weeks! What the fuck happened already?!"
"Well first of all, Torrance...he's hated me from day one! But one day, he did the unthinkable and now shit is even more complicated."
She glared at me with a raised eyebrow before gasping loudly in shock.
"You fucked him?!" she practically shouted to the whole city.
I held my held down before slowly nodding yes leading her to shake me roughly.
"Oh my God, Z! This is some next level lifetime shit!" she exclaimed.
I chuckled, "I surprised my damn self if we bein' honest. Something about him just doesn't sit right with me though and he's been acting weird as shit lately. Questioning me and shit like he's actually my man! He caught me running a background check on him and damn near fire me. He even threatened me not to do it and that's what led up to our first sexual encounter," I explained to Karina, who nodded along to every word listening to me rant on about Torrance.
She sighed before grabbing my shoulder, "Sounds to me, my friend, you and Torrance have a problem then and you better get hold on it soon."
