Chapter 30: Memorial Simulation: Second Eruption (Parte 1)

It was early in the morning and it was the weekend. Diavolo laid in his bed after all the last days were truly exhausting. He had to replace Theresa in her work, had to fight Bronya in a virtual space, a fight with two Stand Users, and a rescue mission in America to save Kiana from the fangs of Anti-Entropy. After a while, the pink-haired man stood slowly up and dressed in his usual attire. 

He then left the room and made his way to the living room. In the living were nearly every other inhabitant of the dorm: Theresa, Himeko, Fu Hua, Bronya, Kallen, and Sakura. They all looked with worried faces in the direction of the kitchen. And rightly so because in the kitchen stood Mei slowly approaching Kiana who had her hair tied in a ponytail and had Mei's cooking apron on.

"Give up Mei, you can't stop me from showing my gratitude!" Kiana said still concentrated on the bread, salami, and other cooking ingredients.

"K-Kiana, I can understand that you are grateful but..." Mei hesitated, she doesn't know how she could tell Kiana that she can't cook without hurting her feelings.

"Idiotka can't show gratitude by poisoning big boss Diavolo," Bronya said from a safe distance to the white-haired girl. 

"Shut up Bratnya! I can do it! I have watched several tutorials!" Kiana replied.

Diavolo doesn't say anything and watched this seemingly interested in the ongoing events. As much as he understands, Kiana wants to cook for Diavolo for saving her but because of the inherited bad cooking skill that is dormant in the Kaslana genes, everyone is high alert.

"Kiana! Bronya is right! Please let Mei do this!" Theresa called from the sofa holding a pillow a bit up for protection.

"NO! I won't fail on this one! And I will not fail in the lunch that I will make later!" Kiana proudly proclaimed.

She then put the toast with salami and cheese, which Diavolo makes himself nearly every day when Mei couldn't make breakfast, in the microwave and waited for a few minutes. 

"K-Kiana, I can understand your ambitions but making lunch is something that can be very complex," Mei calmly stated. 

A few moments later the microwave made a ding noise, signalizing that the food is finished. Kiana then opened the microwave and took out the plate with the toast and its topping. Diavolo now decides to enter the scene.

"G-Good morning, Diavolo!" The others greeted the man who walked to Kiana.

"GOOD MORNING! I MADE YOU BREAKFAST!" Kiana exclaimed with an expression full of joy.

"Yeah, I saw it," Diavolo replied.

They waited shortly for the food to cool down and then Diavolo grabbed it but before he could taste it, the voice of Himeko stopped him.

"Wait! You know that it could kill you!"

"Oof!" Kiana said making gestures as she got hit with a bullet.

Diavolo didn't listen and took a bite and against the expectation of the girls in the room, Diavolo took another and another one until the toast Kiana made got eaten up.

"It wasn't that bad," Diavolo said.

"YAY!!!" Kiana cheered and jumped with her hands up in the air.
