Ace's POV

Midnight called the clouds to fade away into the darkness, as I rise from the darkness mesmerised by the beauty of the night. Admiring the glittering stars placed neatly across the sky creating a peaceful environment at Beach even through the blasting music from the party goers. The night can be either beautiful or the worst thing ever depending on each and everyone's experiences to their own. Luckily the night time reminds me of the nice moments in life with my family before they left me for dead here. Remembering the faces of evil that I was loved willing to sacrifice the perfect family image for their own pride and benefits in the games, unfortunately for them I had beat them to it painting myself in the colour I adore.

Red.

Only the night sky can cover up their deaths with the good times we had, even when they're watching me from below than above. To think I killed my only family left in the world for the purpose of survival and betrayal. Never mind... I guess I am not myself anymore, but at least the night was the only thing keeping me protected from the negative things in life with its beauty.

Anyway duty calls, no time for thinking of them right now when my life is on the line as it is. I've already wasted enough time planning how I will fool this psychopath before me. Slowly approaching the roof top from the main building of the hotel, high above everybody else as the air thinned out in silence with a focused Niragi on all fours focusing his sight through the scoop of his sniper before realising his now has company.

Sitting himself up to see me clearly stood before him rolling my eyes. His smirked to himself before grabbing his sniper and removing it from his position to put away for now. He placed the weapon beside his seated self before patting the concrete beneath him to sit down next to him. Hesitated to sit down next to him, I decide to place myself in front of him instead noticing when I sat down his eyes searching for a glimpse under my skirt.

"Red? "

Huh?

"You like red? " What a fucking perv. Ignoring his question, all I could do was tut in disgust at his nasty behaviour. Who seriously watches a girl sit down and look up her skirt?! Should of shot his eyeballs for that. Unfortunately he is protected by this game for now,

"Like this has anything to do with our task. I don't think Aguni asked for patrolling my underwear, asshole. " Muttering to myself in annoyance before seeing his smirk fade into a chuckle, reaching his hand out to then pat my head. This caught me off guard, the expression on my face said it all.

"Sorry, just old habits. Anyway do you need help with setting up? " He began to lick his lips before giving s genuine smile towards me, a smile that I wish would never fade as it was the Suguru I knew from school years before he became... Nevermind.

"Nah, I am good. Thanks though." Then silence hit the air with a lot of awkward staring and coughing until I decided to set up. Every night we get lurkers spying on Beach, so I am gonna start patrolling before we sit awkwardly for hours missing the potential threats.
