Book 2, Earth

After I left Zuko behind, I made my way back to my siblings.

I saw them standing in front of the big temple and watching the sun set.

Wiping my tears, I walked towards them with a smile on my face. It was good to be reunited again, even if I sometimes felt like they didn't care about me.

When Sokka saw me approaching them he engulfed me in a tight hug which I gladly returned.

Katara joined in and wrapped her arms around us. "You too kiddo," I said when I saw Aang looking at us with a smile on his face. He beamed at me and also wrapped his arms around us.

We stayed like that for a moment before we continued our way. This time to the Earth Kingdom.

After a few days of making our way to Omashu, we decided to take a break and stopped at a river.

Aang and Katara decided to train while me and Sokka just relaxed.

It was hot so I decided to freeze a bit of water to an ice floe and laid down floating around the river.

I watched Aang and Katara and smirked when Aang visibly blushed while Katara corrected his stance. I knew from the day I met him that he had a crush on my twin.

I let out a small sigh and closed my eyes, putting my hands under my head and taking in the sun.

I was just about to fall asleep when I heard singing. "Sokkii, please shut up. Your singing is terrible," I said and peeked one eye open to look at my brother.

He gasped, offended at my words, "hey, I'm not the one singing," he exclaimed and looked in the other direction with narrowed eyes.

I followed his gaze and sat up when I saw people coming our way. They wore pretty colourful clothes and had flowers in their hair and on their clothes.

"Hey, river people," the guy with the flower necklace greeted us when he stopped at the shore.

"We're not river people," Katara said and I eyed them curiously.

"You're not?" He knitted his eyebrows and stares at us, "well then what kind of people are you?"

I stifled a laugh and glanced at Sokka who was looking at them full of disbelief.

"Just people," Aang replied shortly.

"Aren't we all, brother," the man said and chuckled. I snorted at their conversation and Sokka sighed before stepping forward.

"Who are you?" Sokka asked and looked at the strangers.

"I'm Chong, and this is my wife Lily," he introduced himself and the woman beside him, "we're nomads."

"Hey, that's great. I'm a nomad too," Aang smiled at them.

Chong let out a chuckle, "me too."

"Yeah, you just said that," I commented and Chong awkwardly chuckled and played on his guitar.

I shot them a half smile before letting out a fake laugh and then left to put on my normal clothes.

When I came back, I was hit by the sound of screaming and singing.

I stood beside Sokka and listened to the song they were singing. Sokka was so annoyed by these people, it really amused me.

So when they repeated the chorus I decided to join in beside Sokka, "secret tunnel, secret tunnel, secret secret secret tunnel," I screamed with them and Sokka shot me a glare.
