Part 22 - Operation Ambush Kuzuki...failed

Kazuto: So we really going to ambush them in the city....at night.

Shirou: If he's going to back to Ryudou Temple from school, he has to come down this road.

Rin: I've set up a force field around this area. Our cover if blown if someone sees us from the outside, but even if this turns into a battle, the sound proofing is flawless.

Shirou: Hey, Is Kuzuki-sensei really the Ryudou Temple Master?

Rin: We're doing this to find out for sure. Shhh! He's here!

We take a peek to see him walking. I know Kuzuki-sensei trying to bait but what else can I do?

Rin: Ready, Shirou, Kazuto?

Kazuto: Ready.

Shirou: Trace on...

Shirou turns the wooden sword into metal. Rin come out and shoot Gandr at Kuzuki-sensei's head from behind but it was nullified by Caster from a cloak.

Rin: He nullified it?

Then the cloak rises up, revealing Caster.

Rin: Spatial Teleportation...

Caster: I warned you, Souichirou-sama. You should stay put in Ryuudou Temple because of things like this.

Kuzuki: You have it wrong. The truth is the prey took the bait.

Caster: Indeed. However, our catch doesn't appear to be very big.... Actually, come on out, my foolish little magus...

Then Shirou comes out.

Rin: S-Shirou!

Kazuto: Oh boy...

Caster: My, such an understanding boy.

I come out as well.

Caster: ?! Souichirou-sama, this boy... He's full of pure mana and absurd amount at that... More than my mana tank.

Kuzuki: I see... Emiya, Homura, And Tohsaka, eh? Not only Matou, but you three were Masters also. Magi you may be, but I don't envy your lot in life.

Shirou: Kuzuki...

Here comes Talk-no-jutsu...

Shirou: Are you being manipulated by Caster?

Kuzuki: What makes you ask that question, Emiya? There's always a reason behind a question. Let me hear it.

Shirou: You're not a magus but a normal human, right? That being the case, U thought that you might not be aware of what Caster is up to.

Kuzuki: And what, exactly, is Caster up to?

Shirou: She created a base in Ryudou Temple and has been gathering mana from all the inhabitants of the city. All these coma incidents of late are her doing. If this keeps up, someday someone will end up dying.

Kuzuki: I see. But, is that a bad thing, Emiya?

Shirou: WHAT?!

Kuzuki: What Caster is doing sure is half-assed. It's much more efficient to just take their lives in one shot.

Shirou: ...Are you saying it's okay to involve innocent people in this?!

Kuzuki: I don't care. If you had to label it as good or evil. I suppose it would be evil. It doesn't matter to me how many people die.

Shirou: Kuzuki... What the hell are you?

Kuzuki: I am neither a magus nor do I have any interest in the Holy Grail nonsense. I'm just one of those rotten cold-blooded killers that's around.
