The morning came around soon enough, making me yawn as I got up to find Link still dead asleep. Letting a chuckle escape my lips, I turned around and walked into the kitchen, beginning to make a meal for the both of us. Our breakfast was nothing special, just some simple Ordon pumpkin stew! After a couple of mishaps, I eventually got it down right as Link woke up. I faced him with our bowls in hand and a smile, "Good morning, sleepyhead!" I giggled, tilting my head as I handed his bowl to Link. "Geez, it's been a long while since I've used that..." I spoke, shrugging my shoulders as I began to eat my own meal in comfortable silence. The stew was exactly how I remembered Uli making it when I was a kid. I let out a small sigh in between one of my bites, making me delve into my thoughts for the day.

The night before, Link had shown me the Iron Boots he had acquired from Mayor Bo. My reaction when I realized that Mayor Bo had cheated was priceless! I was only able to gasp in surprise as I let my mouth remain agape for a bit while yelling out my shock. It was honestly pretty comedic when I had, to the point where even Midna laughed (and I thought she would only laugh if Link or I did something stupid)! Either way, if they were capable enough to help out the Gorons with whatever they needed, we'd put them to good use! Now, for the main issue: getting ready for whatever trials we had to complete in order to get to the entrance of the mines.

Finishing up the stew I made, I grabbed Link's bowl and cleaned our dishes out with a bit of water from my flask. I put them away with a hum, switching to put my hair up. If we were going to Death Mountain, a volcano next to Kakariko, then this was pretty much a must! Turning around, I snatched up my spear and peered at Link who just put his shield and sword onto his back. He nodded at me with an "I'm ready," evident in his expression as I smiled and headed out the door of our room. Instead of going immediately out the front door of the inn, I swung around and went up the stairs to check up on Colin. Link didn't question anything, following along with me in curiosity.

When we walked into the room, Luda and Beth quietly tended to Colin with Renado watching them both, guiding them along. The young blonde was asleep still, mumbling quietly as a damp towel brushed over his forehead. Hearing our boots against the wooden ground, the shamen turned to look at our concerned expressions. "Do not worry," He reassured, "He merely sleeps. So long as he continues to rest, he shall eventually open his eyes." Renado couldn't help but smile as he peered over towards his daughter and Beth. "And these two are doing a fine job of nursing him back to health..." As Beth put much more water on the towel and rubbed Colin's forehead a little too much, Renado furrowed his brows as he spoke. "You two! Be calm in here!" Both Beth and Luda glanced up quickly at the shamen's words, the twelve-year-old Ordon girl then lowered her head, retracting the towel and squeezing a large amount of water out. Renado turned back to us with a hum, tilting his head. "I shall watch over the children of Ordon, I swear it." The promise the shamen had given made me smile, lidding my eyes and locking my fingers in front of me as he continued. "They shall never encounter danger while I breathe. I will take full responsibility for them until they are returned safely to their village. You need not worry for them..." With that in mind, I let out a small sigh and nodded my head. "We won't... I can tell that they are in good hands," I hummed, raising my head as I peered to Link. He smiled along with me, looking at Beth and Colin for a moment. I raised my hand and put it on Link's shoulder, to which he looked at me and began to walk off.

And down the stairs we went, heading out the door of the inn and making our way up to Death Mountain's Goron Mines. After Link put on the Iron Boots, we arrived at the top of the cliff from before and saw the Goron from the other day. "Ho!" He called, surprise evident in his voice. "You are back again, human? And you brought someone else..." He muttered, referring to me with a raised brow. The Goron then shook his head, looking back at Link. "No matter... You will never pass! You cannot hope to match our brute force!" He growled, rolling up and causing me to panic and move aside with wide eyes. Link simply narrowed his gaze, raising his hands and getting into a stance, and readying himself to grab the Goron head-on. What was he doing?! My gut shouted at me to not move an inch, and I did just that, watching the Goron shoot straight for my partner. However, when they collided, Link grabbed on tight, expression contorting as he struggled to stay on his feet. Shockingly, he turned around and hurled the Goron over the cliff, dusting off his gloves and hands afterward. My eyes widened at the demonstration of strength, but either way, I nodded my head Link's way. "Okay, Monsieur Strong!" I laughed, moving back to him as we then continued. As we did so, I could've sworn I saw Link's face flush a bit, but I wrote it off as the heat from our climb.
