set in endgame (at the battle where tony snaps also he doesn't die) and let's pretend nat was dusted so she didn't sacrifice herself and they got it some other way (please just go along with the story lol)

it was nearing the end of the battle, y/n still hadn't found her mum and was starting to get slightly worried, but nevertheless she distracted herself by fighting off the enemy, the last thing y/n had seen of her mum was her face which slowly dusted away as she cried helplessly, it was of course 5 years later now.

~time skip~

tony had just snapped, y/n stood there tired and relieved, after years of scheming and planning and then of fighting - it was over, she looked around as thanos and his army were dusted. an overwhelming feeling of happiness washed over her and she looked at all the people who had come together to fight.

her eyes landed on a specific redhead and she felt tears come to her eyes, her mum was finally standing there, really standing there in front of her after 5 years she was there. nat was looking at y/n with a warm smile on her face and she opened her arms inviting y/n for a long awaited hug. y/n ran up to her mum and jumped into her arms in a warm embrace whilst tears streamed down her face. she pulled back and croaked out "mum?"

"hi sweetheart" nat said holding her daughters face between her hands and wiping tears away. "i missed you so much, so much" y/n said as she once again leaned in for a hug with her mother who had been gone for so long. "you've grown up so much my love" nat whispered "how much have i missed" she asked as they both pulled away from the hug.
"5 years mama" y/n replied, nat sighed sadly and once again cupped y/n's cheek with her hand "look at you, my beautiful baby, are you hurt anywhere?" nat said suddenly protective and concerned, y/n smiled "i'm fine mum but it was so difficult after you'd gone i just-" y/n started only to be cut off by her mum "i know honey but i'm here now don't worry it's okay, i'm okay, your okay, everyones okay" nat said once again trying to comfort her daughter whilst also feeling like she'd been stabbed in the heart with the fact she had missed 5 whole years of her daughters life.

the sun starts to slowly peak through the disappearing clouds as everyone basks in the atmosphere of relief and victory. y/n starts to look around her as an overwhelming sense of joy fills her. "we did it mum, we actually did it" she says. "yes we did" nat says taking her daughters hand in her own and looking around at her family and friends before joining them in celebrations.
