Chameleons shed their skin for various reasons. Shedding could be a good or bad thing for the chameleon as it helps them stay healthy. There are times when shedding is not natural and could hurt or even cause death for the reptile. Larger species of chameleons like Jackson chameleons do not shed frequently, therefore, it's important to know whether the chameleon is shedding naturally or shedding due to a problem.

Many signs may not be as evident as others, but when noticed it can be very concerning

and these concerns belonged to a particular chameleons group of friends

it was supposed to be a normal day

After a full 3 weeks of not seeing one another, being too busy with their jobs, they all agreed to plan something to relax and properly catch up

this being a simple meeting in the park

Amy had packed a delicious display of picnic food and even the loner likes of knuckles and shadow had come to join in the festivities

but that wasn't the biggest surprise

one by one the guests arrived, all being greeted warmly and such

but when the chaotixs showed up, the curious and silent second glances couldn't be helped

whilst the leader Vector and mascot Charmy wore their usual attire

the ninja Espio had arrived in more than he had on usually, this being a big dark purple jacket

so big that his legs and arms couldn't be seen

clothes were something of a statement when on male mobians, such as when female mobians went without, there were no laws to say neither gender couldn't, but for a friend that went only in shoes, gloves and socks, it was quite a surprise

"hey esp, I knew you were cold-blooded but it's just turned September" sonic joked, always being the first to poke fun at his friends (never in the intention of truly hurting their feelings of course)

although very straightforward, the others did nothing to excuse the blue blur of his statement, obviously being on the minds of the others too

espio simply rolled his eyes and walked on

sonic was surprised by the lack of an answer as the ninja would always at least give a quick comeback with a smirk similar to his own

but he simply walked to the table and poured himself a glass of water

the others looked to the other members of the chaotixs, only to be met with a confused and shrugging charmy along with a whistling innocently/ suspicious vector

it was clear the croc knew something, but it seemed so personal that not even the big green reptile would flap his gossiping gums about

Espio had millions of secrets this was true but he was usually so good at hiding them

this was a different type of secret, especially by the fact that everyone knew that something up

but what they also knew about the chameleon was that he was very reluctant to share any personal information and needed a lot of convincing before letting his friends in

so to try and coax him into telling them, they decided to let him be, observe him until they try to ask him head-on

one of their observations was something normal about their friend, but still a tiny bit abnormal too

and that was his loss of appetite and increased water intake

while everyone knew of the ninja's picky palate, even he wasn't impervious to neither Amy's nor Vannila's dishes
