When two males meet, they will turn sideways, flatten their bodies, curl their tails, and thrust their heads forward. They will inflate themselves with air to appear larger and turn brilliant colours. Males are territorial and will battle using their horns, which may also be used to attract females.

The tv was quickly shut off as the three dashed into the office to meet their possible new case

A dark blue chameleon entered the door, and with the proud smile on his face he was here for something else than the agency's help

"Hello gentleman" the male chameleon greeted, not that he got very far as espio blocked his path

"State your business" espio stated

Vector and charmy blinked at the sight, espio wasn't one to get into a mobians personal space unless they were a threat

"Right, I'll get straight to it, this is a nice spot, willing to part with it, I can make it worth your wild" the blue chameleon continued but redirecting his attention to the crocodile, showing a big stack of cash in hand

Vectors loved a good deal, but he wasn't going to sell out his home/base, it meant too much to him, besides it was the way too fast notice

"Not a chance! this is my territory! You have no right to claim it, especially with how you showed up out of the blue, what did you actually expect "Espio growled with aggression

vector honestly couldn't believe what he was seeing, his usually calm friend throwing a tantrum like a child stopping another kid trying to steal his favourite toy

"Perhaps a little straightforward, but when I want something, I always go for it" the other chameleon answered somewhat menacingly

both chameleons seemed to be in a standstill, their calm smiles of dangerous anger didn't cover the obvious and dangerous hostility against one another, they were turned sideways to one another, tails tightly curled and head forward and horns almost touching in a threat of attack,

Vector chuckled sheepishly as he used his height and mass to separate the two in the fear of a fight

and with how their skins were turning into darker brilliant colours it was a good call

"Listen bub, usually I'm quite happy with sharing and all, but like what my uncle sam says, if someone tries to take your home, you take a pinch of salt and say no" vector chuckled and declared

"that's an odd saying" the other chameleon stated with confusion

"he's a saltwater croc" Vector merely replied

"very well, but with how rumors spread, how you're unable to make ends meet, you may end up regretting it" the chameleon sang before being interrupted by the purple ninja

"we're not that desperate to play your game!" espio growled as he lowered his horn once more in a warning

"yeah! so shoo!" Charmy exclaimed as he held the chameleon back, luckily vector wasn't the only one worrying about the chameleon's actions

"if that is what you wish, then, good evening and good luck with your struggles" the other chameleon growled as he allowed himself to turn back

and walked away

allowing espio to relax slightly, his horn looking less sharp suddenly

"Jeez, what was his deal" Vector sighed in relief as he closed the door

"slimy squid, trying to take our home!" Espio grumbled to himself as he walked back into the middle of the building

"I thought he was a chameleon?" Charmy asked with confusion

the reptiles simply rolled their eyes

"relax boys, the bad businessman is gone" Vector assured

"although, I need to ask, why were you suddenly so angry, it's not like you ?" Vector questioned in wonder

"I could sense he was not here for well-meaning intentions, and we chameleons as a clan are very territorial, it is just how I was raised, to protect everything that I hold valuable" Espio stated as he folded his arms and closed his eyes to look edgy and cool

"That's really sweet esp, but you don't have to worry, this is our home, and no amount of money can budge the value of our memories" vector declared proudly

"That's so cheesy vector" Charmy commented

"Indeed" Espio sighed while shaking his head

"Well excuse me for trying to be loving to the best people in my entire life" vector continued

"Espio make it stop" Charmy whined

"You two are so precious to me!" Vector wasn't stopping

"Just let him tire himself out, he will need to stop eventually" Espio sighed as he and the bee walked off

"I will never stop loving you and our home!" Vector finished his cringy declaration as the two avoided the words by turning the volume of the tv to the max
