Regulus
I walk Evie back to the school and of course in the great hall, James and Lily are still there.
"We can't explain why you aren't staying to them."
"I know."
"What do we do?" She asks me.
"You go over and tell them the good news and I'll go to my dorm, get ready and come back down with some excuse as to why I have to go."
"Okay." I say. "Are you sure you don't want to be there when I tell them the news?"
"Nah, it's okay. You're the one with the ring."
"Okay." She leans up and gives me a kiss. "I love you, come find me before you leave?"
"Of course I'll come find you before I leave." I tell her. "I love you."

Everleigh
Regulus leaves the great hall and I walk over to James and Lily.
"Regulus too cool to hangout with us?" James asks sarcastically.
"Nah, he's going to get changed." I tell him.
"Okay then, how was your date?" Lily asks, coming over and giving me a hug.
"Turned out to be very romantic."
"Oh yeah?" Lily asks.
"Regulus the romantic. Didn't see that one coming."
"How was you guys' date?" I ask them.
"It wasn't really a date. More of a.."
"No- don't finish that." I jump in. "I do not need to know that."
They both laugh at my reaction and shrug their shoulders.
"My bad." James says with a teasing tone in his voice.
"Anyway, I have some news for you guys."
"Uh oh, good or bad?" Lily asks me.
"Okay, do you want the news or the funny story first?"
"The news!" James and Lily say at the same time.
"Okay, okay! Don't need to bite my head off." I say. I put my hand in front of them to show them the ring and they both stare at it. Lily's mouth drops and James stares at it with wide eyes.
"Holy shit, he actually did it." James mutters.
"Yup."
"How did he do it?" Lily asks and I tell her the story.
"That's so cute Everleigh! I'm so happy for you!"
"Thanks Lil!"
"Don't tell Sirius or Remus yet. I think Reg should tell them."
"Is he coming back down?"
"Yeah, he should be here in a bit. He's just changing."
"Okay. Sirius and Remus said they'd meet us here too."
"Alright."
