the ride in the van felt like it went on forever.

he was leaning back against the wall of the van, looking out of the tinted windows, he watched trees and cars go by and it kept him occupied, it felt like he was breathing in real, clean fresh air and it was amazing.

after a while, there were no more houses and more trees, what looked like a woodland area got denser and there was nobody around anymore.

"even out here, the company can see you."

seungmin got nervous again, he didn't like that at all, he didn't want to make even the tiniest mistake, he was scared enough to go back to that place, but knowing he was being watched was scarier.

minho eventually pulled up in a dark area and turned off the engine, seungmin looked out of the window at a big wooden shack, it looked like a very large barn, it was clearly old and neglected.

chan pulled open the van door and byeol jumped down from the van, immediately knowing to go inside. minho came for the bags, pulling them out of the back of the van as chan pulled seungmin out.

he already got an eerie feeling, he didn't like this at all, chan was holding his wrist tightly but seungmin pulled his wrist out of chan's hand, taking it in his own and holding onto chan's arm.

chan looked down at him, furrowing his brows in confusion. he let seungmin hold his arm as they went into the shack, he looked around a little, it was so dark, only a little light coming through a broken window. he was confused.

where were all of the rooms he had seen before?

where were the big stairs he remembered being pushed up?

minho moved forwards and kicked at a dusty old rug on the floor, he moved it aside and grabbed a chain that was attached to the floor, pulling it hard and lifting a trap door.

seungmin watched, confused as a staircase came into view, chan went first, pulling seungmin with him as he started down the thin, unstable looking stairs. seungmin stepped carefully, they were steep and scary to walk on. chan pulled on a cord which gave them light at the bottom, minho sent byeol down before coming down himself, closing the hidden door behind him.

they went down the stairs, getting to the bottom and seungmin's eyes widened. a long dark corridor, it was freezing cold and lined with doors. he felt his stomach turn, he knew that corridor, he knew those doors too.

he hated this, he felt sick. he had spent months down here, trapped and alone, and after seeing the way they had to get in, he wasn't surprised they were getting away with this.

he held onto chan's arm, staying tense and uncomfortable, they began walking down the hall before they suddenly stopped and chan smirked.

"room seven." he mumbled.

minho chuckled and grabbed his keys, unlocking the door and seungmin got sicker, hearing those locks come undone was painfully familiar, he looked inside, his eyes widening. that was his room.

he gripped his bear and chan's arm harder.

"don't make me go in there." he choked out in a whisper.

"why not?" chan laughed, nudging seungmin towards it.

he started to tear up, backing away from the door, shaking his head. he felt sick to his stomach seeing that tiny cell, it looked disgusting and scary and he would kill to stay in his room. it was bigger and he suddenly started appreciating it way more.

minho shut the door and chuckled, the three of them looked up, hearing faint banging, someone must've heard the locks.

"room eleven, of course, he doesn't shut up."

they started walking towards the room where the banging was coming from and chan pulled his arm away from seungmin.

"stay here."

seungmin held his bear tightly as he watched them unlock the door, he felt the air shift and as the door swung open he flinched, minho looked mad.

"hey! hit the door one more time and see what happens!"

he heard faint cries and he tensed up more, he didn't like this at all.

"you want to eat? if you hit this door again we'll leave you here to fucking starve."

seungmin covered his ears, those cries were deeply disturbing, they sounded so distressed and it scared the life out of him. he heard more yelling before someone was thrown out into the corridor, they hit the floor and looked up at seungmin.

"h-help me!" he whispered, desperation lacing his voice.

"o-oh my god..." seungmin choked out.

he looked at this young boy, he was so skinny and he looked traumatised. his face was sunken and bruised, he looked so frail and scared, he looked smaller than seungmin, he had desperation in his eyes. he looked so young and he could imagine that if he wasn't trapped in here he would be so handsome and happy. he got up from the floor, shaking as minho walked out.

"go on, run for it."

immediately, the stranger tried to run for the corridor but minho was quick to grab his collar and pull him back, almost pulling him over.

"i can't believe you're stupid enough to actually try that."

seungmin closed his eyes and covered his ears. he couldn't watch them do this, he didn't want to feel for such cruel people. he remembered when he was treated like this and it hurt his heart. why did he want them so much if they were like this?

he watched them throw this personn back into the little room and put food in there, leaving and locking the door fast.

seungmin was breathing fast and he started to cry, he wanted to go home, he wanted his room, he wanted to hide from this, but he couldn't help but feel so thankful for the way they treated him, he looked up as chan opened his arms.

"you want us puppy? come here."

seungmin took a few shaky steps into chan's arms, feeling them close around him, he clutched chan's shirt.

"you're treated well with us aren't you?"

he nodded fast and sniffed as he looked up, minho was opening another door. he buried his face in chan's chest, unable to watch anymore, the thought about how desperately that person would want to be held the way he was being held.

there were a series of yells, then a scream and thud and seungmin started shaking, he tensed up in chan's arms, burying his face deeper in chan's shirt quickly. he covered his ears.

"someone didn't do as they were told."

seungmin cried harder and held onto chan.

"we don't want to do that to you, you'll behave for us, right love?"

seungmin nodded again, he hated this so much.

"h-home, wanna go home."

"back to the house?"

when seungmin nodded, chan realised they had been successful in taking all comfort away from seungmin completely and the only thing he relied on was the house he was kept in, it was his home, he wasn't going anywhere, even if he was given the option.

"you want us to take you home? you'll do as you're told to please us right? you don't want to get hurt puppy."

seungmin sniffed softly as he clung to chan, breathing fast. he watched minho walked out with blood splattered on his shirt, he slammed and locked the door, walking back over. seungmin gripped chan's shirt tighter, staring at the blood and shaking hard.

minho returned and they started going to all of the rooms to feed the hostages, but seungmin hated every second of it, he could hear people begging and crying for things seungmin had access to easily, he hugged his bear, extremely thankful they let him have it.
