When i went home to Polly's that night i sat infront of the mirror and looked at this awful brand mark left by some disgusting evil man , i looked at myself not feeling anything i know i should have felt bad for killing this man but i didn't , although i kept seeing his face in my head as i shot him , it made me feel strong it almost scared me how much i didn't care

I went to bed that night and i slept fine , nothing kept me awake i took my anger out on someone who deserved it

I went to the Garrison after work and there was music for the first time in awhile i wanted to dance i order a drink and sit down Finn and Arthur walk in "there she is the amazing Jayne" Arthur says smiling "hello boys" i shout over the music "im getting a drink Finn boy what are you having" Arthur asks "whiskey" he says as he sat next to me smiling

"I love this song" i say to Finn "no" he says "come on you don't have a choice" i say as i pull him up to dance he resisted at first but slowly started to enjoy i kicked off me shoes and danced like no one was there i started to sing along "how much have you drank" Finn asks smiling "nothing" i lied had half a bottle of whiskey , i laugh as everyone started to sing with me

"Come on meeting now" Tommy says he grabbed my arm and brought me to the small room beside the bar Finn and I sat down "Tom i was having fun" i say smiling "there isn't time for fun right now Jayne" Tom says "well whats wrong" i ask him "your father knows where we all live we have to say close we all have to stay in Small Heath together " Tommy says

"That son of a bitch" i say standing up and walking out of The Garrison "where are you going" Tommy asks as they follow me "to kill him before one of us dies" i say "come on you coward where are you" i shout through the streets "Jayne" Tommy says grabbing my arm "get off me" i say pulling my arm away from him "come back to The Garrison" Tom says 

"No i am going to find him and kill him" i say before i notice Toms eyes focus behind me i turn around and see 3 men walking towards us "Jayne Winters" they question "whose asking" Tommy asks "we're here to take what's ours" the taller one says "and who might you be" Tom asks as Finn pulls me back , before one of them pulls out a gun , i jump in front of Tommy hugging him before getting shot in the back 

Finn and Arthur shot the two men as Tommy held me we were on our knee's my eyes began to roll back and i became tired , my eyes begin to grow heavy "stay awake Jayne" Tom says holding my face in his hands my body became limp and everything went dark

I woke up in an unfamiliar room i see Finn asleep beside of me holding my hand "Finn" i say his head shoots up "what happened" i ask him "you were shot" he says "but your okay now" he continues "how long was i out" i ask "two and half weeks" Finn says "we all took turns sitting with you" he explains "i'll go get a nurse" he says as he gets up 

Finn came back with a nurse and Tom "your awake" the nurse says "yep" i say sitting up before wincing at the sharp pain in my back "i am going to clean her up and then we will keep her for one more night to make sure she is okay and then she can go home tomorrow" the nurse says "ok , i'll be back in an hour or so with fresh cloths" Finn says before kissing my forehead and leaving

 "Tom" i say "yes" he says he wouldn't look me in the eyes "i know what i did was stupid but-" i say before he cuts me off "leave us for moment" he says to the nurse "your right Jayne it was stupid" he says aggravated "you could've died" he says "well better me than you Thomas" i shout frustrated "no Jayne not better you than me , you know why , because your young you have your life to live , i died in France but you , you can still live you have to be there for Finn , he doesn't need anyone like he needs you" Tommy says i felt my eyes tear up "look , Jayne" he says sitting next to me cupping my chin in his hand , making me look at him "i know you were trying to do good but please never jump in front of a bullet again for me" he asks "i won't Tom" i say before he hugs me 

"Believe it or not there was good that came out of this" Tom says "yeah what was it" i ask "your father thinks your dead" he says "thats great Tom , now we can try find him and try kill him" i say smiling "yes but you have to keep you head down for a little while ok" Thomas explains "okay" i say smiling
