James' POV:

I walked Lily to the hospital wing and she told me not to wait with her and find the others instead.

So now, I'm in the great hall, finding an empty table that would fit all of us.

"Oh, hello James." I looked up from my seat and saw Alice and Roxanne walking towards me.

"Hey."

"Are you and Lily still... not talking?"

They sat down next to me and I waved at Teddy and Fred to come over.

"Hello ladies, hello Jamey. How is everyone?" Teddy looked at all of us.

"Good. So?" Roxanne turned to me. "Are you guys still not talking to each other?"

Can I say it?

I don't think Lily will get mad at me for telling them. It's not like we're hiding it.

"Uhm, no. We're talking. Actually we're-"

Fred caught me off and took some chicken on his plate."Ugh, great. Finally."

"Yeah. I also have some important news-"

"It was starting to get weird too, you know?" Roxanne continued, giving some salad to Alice.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

She shrugged and Fred continued for her. "After we found out about... the kiss , we realized how glad we were that it was just a one time thing. It would ruin our friend group, if you two dated."

Why would it be weird? Do I act different when I'm with her?

So?

Nothing changes in our friendship. At least not that I could think of.

"So what's the important news about?" Alice asked, bringing me back to reality.

I looked at my friends and cleared my throat. "It's- it's not that important- I mean"

Teddy chuckled. "Spit it out Potter."

"Lily and- Lily is, no... I'm- Lily. It's about- Lily... is here. Hi Lily."

I waved at her as she sat down next to Teddy and said hi to all of us.

"Glad to hear you two are not fighting anymore." Lily kindly smiled at Alice's words and looked at me.

She raised her eyebrows and pressed her lips together.

Did you tell them yet?

I touched my eye as if it was itching.

Her eyes looked at left and right and I nodded my head.

She looked at me confused and I nodded my head several times saying no.

"So what is the important news?" Teddy asked, taking a sip from his cup.

"Uhm," I gave a quick glance at Lily and cleared my throat. "It's uhm... Lily is- I found out that she's... dating..." Teddy and Roxanne gave me a suspicious look and Lily was looking down at her plate. "Someone. She started dating someone. Yes. That's the.... important news."

Roxanne's eye widened in excitement and she gave her a big hug. "Uh, finally. I can't even remember the last time you went on a date with a boy."

She put on a fake smile and laughed nervously.

"Wait," Fred swallowed his chicken. "You're straight? I mean how do we even know that it's a boy?"

Lily gave him a look and he held up his hands in defense. "I thought I explained this to you Freddie. I'm-"
