MADMAX
[ ᴘᴀʀᴛ ᴛᴡᴏ ]

Y/n shut Steve's car door, she'd usually bike into school but Steve insisted he'd drive her because of what had happened last night, she didn't really understand but she went with him anyway.

She hadn't had time to tell any of her friends she wouldn't be biking with them, so she just expected to meet them as usual at the bike racks.

Y/n walked to the middle school, where she spotted her four friends, she walked up to them and was immediately asked a question by Dustin.

"Where were you last night?" Dustin asked. "Why didn't you bike to school?"

"I was grounded and I was tired, Steve said he'd take me." Y/n replied.

"You'll never guess what happened last night." said Lucas.

"Yeah, so basically some person named MadMax beat me on digdug and centipede." Dustin explained.

"Keith wouldn't tell us who it was though." Mike added. "He said he would if Nancy went on a date with him, I said no."

"Keith? Like the guy from the arcade?" Y/n questioned.

"Yeah, the guy from the arcade." Lucas replied as the group walked into school.

"Meet the human brain." Mr Clarke placed down a model of a brain onto the table, Y/n was listening but she wasn't processing what he was saying, all she was thinking about was what she had found out last night.

Dustin, Lucas and Mike were listening Dustin and Mike grinning at the teacher, but Will, Will looked upset, he clearly had something on his mind just like Y/n did.

Y/n was snapped from her thoughts when the classroom door shut, the class moved their attention to the door.

Standing there was a tall girl with ginger hair, she was tanned and Y/n wondered if she had come from somewhere exotic.

"Ah, this must be our new student." said Mr Clarke.

"Indeed it is. All yours." said the principal, the girl began walking to the empty seat at the back of the classroom.

"All right. Hold up. You don't get away that easy." Mr Clarke said stopping her. "Come on up. Don't be shy. Dustin, drum roll."

Dustin closed his book and tapped his book lightly. "Class, please welcome, all the way from sunny California, the latest passenger to join us on our curiosity voyage, Maxine."

"It's Max." she said.

"Sorry?" Mr Clarke asked.

"Nobody call me Maxine. It's Max."

Y/n looked over at Lucas, he was looking at Max and he continued to look at her as she walked to the empty seat at the back.

Y/n began to feel more confused, it was bad enough with the whole Hopper thing and her feeling confused about that and now with Lucas, she had no idea how to feel, she just hoped nothing would come between her and Lucas.
