VECNA'S CURSE
[ ᴘᴀʀᴛ ᴏɴᴇ ]

Y/n woke up in her own bed, she didn't remember much but she knew she'd gone against the ground rules, she didn't remember going home and the last thing she remembered was accepting a drink from Lucas.

She got out of bed and went downstairs to see both Steve and Robin at the table. "And I mean, she laughed at my-"

"My joke!" Steve corrected her, the both of them were in their uniform ready to leave for work.

"Morning sunshine!" Robin joked, Y/n smiled sarcastically.

"Did I walk home?" asked Y/n, Steve nodded, he looked over at the doorstep where her favourite sneakers completely ruined, she sighed. "Amazing."

"You weren't in great condition either." Steve commented, Y/n shrugged.

"Yeah, I was just-"

"Celebrating with the basketball team?" asked Robin, Y/n sent her a look to say 'how do you know' "You told us." Robin shrugged, Y/n shook her head.

"Yeah, just love the sport." Y/n smiled, the both of them were acting like parents when they were disappointed, it was scary. "Guys, it's not that bad, it's a one time thing."

"Okay, right, made you some breakfast." Steve pointed to the counter. "We're going to work, we'll see you later, if you want to order something for dinner later I left some money on the side, but don't go for round 2-"

"I won't, I promise." Y/n reassured him, Steve shrugged. "Sinclair walked you home and then he said he was going home but he was pretty out of it."

"Nice of him." Robin added, Y/n nodded.

"See you guys later." Y/n smiled, grabbing her breakfast and taking it into the living room, she turned on the tv, the news channel was what was on.

The reporter was in the trailer park Max lived in, she didn't know what had gone on.

"The Hawkins High student's family are being contacted and we will be here on channel nine all day." Y/n's mind instantly went to Max, she hoped it wasn't Max. "In the meantime, we recommend you keep your doors and windows locked tight."

Y/n stood up and quickly headed over to the house phone, she dialled Max's number and quickly enough somebody picked up.

"Hi, this is Susan Mayfield, how can I help you?" Y/n sighed.

"Hi, Susan, it's Y/n, I heard about what happened in the trailer park and I was wondering if Max was okay."

"Oh, Y/n, Hi, yes Max is okay, Max said that the girl who died was some girl named Caroline or something-"

Then Y/n's doorbell rang. "Thank you so much, Susan, I'll have to speak to you later, somebody's at the door."

"Okay, bye , Y/n." Y/n put the phone down and went to the door, she unlocked it and opened it, stood there were Dustin and Max.

"Oh, hi guys." she smiled, the both of them did not seem happy. "Oh, I see how it is."

"No, no. We need to talk now." Max said sternly, Y/n nodded, her expression changed once she realised it had to be serious. "Yeah, come in."
