Opening your eyes just slightly, you feel your arms and legs helplessly balled up against the cold floor beneath you.

You lift your head a little, immediately reaching your hand to console the pounding headache still dizzying you. You rest in this way for just a moment before moving again.

'Ouch.'

As you slowly sit up, lightly crossing your legs under you, your vision eventually returns in staggered fragments until somewhat clear again.

You rub your head softly to soothe the pain, keeping your eyes temporarily fixed on the floor.

A slight monochrome checkerboard pattern, you squint your eyes in confusion as you ponder its familiarity.

Before long, you feel yourself stabilize a little, and decide to gently lift your eyes from the floor.

To your utter dismay, you lightheadedly look up to observe a full, lively room of numerous vibrant colors, like a scene out of an 80s movie, at the end of a perfectly intact hallway.

Moments later, the crackling in your ears fades as it is replaced by the noisy laughter of children and light music.

With wide eyes, you sit there stunned.

'What happened? And where the hell am I?'

Your heart pounds as a million thoughts and questions race through your mind.

Horrified, you shake your head in disbelief until you vaguely recall passing through some kind of door.

Tucking your knees underneath you, you softly pivot yourself around to be greeted by a tall, dark door.

Determined, you attempt to stand, setting your hands in front of you.

Seconds later, you fall back to the cold floor as your weak legs give out on you.

You fail to stand once more before sighing in frustration. Your stubbornness overcomes you; you have never in your life given up on something you really wanted and sure won't start now.

'This damn door is going to open whether it likes it or not!'

Reaching your left hand as high as it can stretch, you struggle on your knees to grasp the door handle.

A golden glint momentarily catches your attention out of the corner of your eye, reminding you that the peculiar coin still rests in your right hand.

Redirecting your focus back to the door, you lightly exhale as you finally manage to grab ahold of the handle.

'Aha!'

You turn it gently, attentively watching as the door opens into darkness once again.

Hesitantly, you peer into the void.

Before you can move another muscle, you suddenly hear a low but stern voice behind you.

"What the hell are you doing on the floor?"

You body locks, completely frozen.

Behind you, you hear another footstep come closer before the same deep voice calls out,

"H-how did you... open the...?"

Still on your knees, you hesitantly turn yourself around to his words, shifting your eyes upward as you move.

Your eyes meet a man's torso, and you have to tilt your head almost all the way back to look up at his face.

His wide eyes are momentarily fixed on the ajar door behind you, and you take this opportunity to fully look at him.
