Wake Up Sleeping Beauty

Aurora's POV
Me and Archer finally arrived at the store where they sell school supplies
"This store never change no matter how much we age" Archer commented while looking at the aged sign

The sign says "miracle supplies" and some of the words are almost wiped out by time

The store is placed at the remarkably hidden spot at the mall that it's really hard to find it

both of us went into the store, and as we looked around I told Archer that I'm going to find a journal notebook and he agreed

The aisle for the journal notebooks is loaded with more journals, which makes it difficult to get in and search for a notebook that I wanted

It took me a long time digging through, I heard a voice behind my back saying "excuse me" which frightened me, I looked and what I saw was horrifying for anyone who loved fashion

The guy has long untrimmed hair and it's messy that is paired with a questionable outfit choice, I moved so that he can get what he needs and he grabbed a notebook that is designed with clouds

Then he left, I just couldn't believe my eyes in what I just saw. I may be ordinary looking but I know what outfit looks good together and know how to fix my hair

After I have decided on a notebook that is filled with chocolate design I looked for Archer and we finished what we are looking for and left

I woke to my brother hitting the door open and letting out "WAKE UP SLEEPING BEAUTY!!" which resulted in me falling off my bed

"what the f**k Arlo?!" I raised my voice to him

"just helping you wake up, I was hoping you might as well be de-" I threw a slipper at him

"I'm going to tell mom" he threatened me

"Go ahead!" I said loudly as I threw another slipper at him at his back

I got up and got ready for my first day at college, after I was finished fixing my outfit and hair I went down to eat breakfast

Arlo is gobbling pancakes, dad is scanning his tablet while working on the laptop and mom.....is drinking?

"Why is mom drinking dad?" and dad looked up from his tablet and said

"she is sad again"

to which my mom replied
"What kind of mother wouldn't be sad that their children are going to college?!" and she cried loudly

My dad sighed and he stood up to get something from the pantry and brought out marshmallows and give one to mom, and she finally became serene

My mom and dad have that ideal relationship that you don't say with words but show how much you love them by action, and you can see it

I'm a bit envious because I dreamed that me and Archer can be like that but sadly my dream is way far from reality, the guy is so oblivious I swear

After I ate an egg sandwich I left for university, my university is just a few blocks away from my house so walking is not a problem

The reason why I am walking today is that Archer told me that he is going to fetch his girlfriend at the airport terminal, yes you heard me GIRLFRIEND

And no she is not those typical mean girl that the guy you cared for dates on, she is kind and honest which caught me off guard from time to time

As I was getting closer to university my four girl best friends appeared in front of me
Milly, Andrea, Skye, and Blaire

Milly is that girl who you could really count on and she is the best shoulder to cry on when I found out that Archer has a girlfriend, A lovely short-haired girl with black hair with a green streak and blue eyes but occasionally hide them with coloured contacts cause she likes to mix and match colours

Andrea and Skye are two sisters who dressed up as bad girls who wear leather jackets and ripped jeans, they own a girl gang group who beats up men who tried to do something dangerous to women
Andrea has dyed maroon hair that is paired with dark blue eyes
Skye has the same dark blue eyes but has Lilac coloured hair

Blaire is nicknamed the "freckled angel of the library" she has beautiful wavy red hair and honey brown eyes, she has cute freckles on her face and she wears circular glasses that fit her small face, she is both an airhead and smarty pants at the same time

Milly came to me and gave me a kiwi smoothie and said to me "I heard the news" and gave me a pat on the back

"Milly told me that she came back from New York and we hope we can provide some comfort to you, Blaire said as she gave me a consoling smile

"Why don't you come and hang out with us after school? We can give you a facial" Andrea told me

I gave her a painful smile
"No it's okay you don't have to do that"

"We should better get inside," Skye said while shoving me to the university gate entrance

We did get inside

But as we enter all eyes are on them

This is getting absurd I have friends that have looks that can make them into a model, and I got self-conscious right there as we strolled on campus

We reached our lockers and looked for what we needed for our first class, on the corner of my eyes I saw the same guy from the store in the mall yesterday

He wore something that looks presentable I guess, I don't know a jacket with shorts can make up with that messy long ponytail of his that covered some of his faces

His very thick-rimmed glasses didn't help too, which made his eyes super huge to look at

"isn't that Milo?" Blaire said as she pointed at his back turned at us

"You mean Milo Rivers?" I said

"I guess that looks like him" Andrea replied as she retouched her lipstick

I only thought this

'Milo, what happened to you?'
