Fool Face

Aurora's POV
I was calmed down by Milo for scolding Edi too much and he patted my back
"How about you go home hm? A box full of donuts will calm you down even more"

I jumped excitedly as I turn around to him
"Really? Is today cheat day?"

I heard the entrance door open to see Devan holding 3 boxes of donuts, I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven
"Just only for today but the rest of the weeks we eat healthy" Milo told me, I didn't listen to him because all of my attention was on the donuts and their deliciousness I can almost taste it in my mouth

Devan gave a box to me and Edi, he left one on the kitchen island for both him and Milo. I took my jacket and I was ready to go out

Before I go out for Devan to drive me home I gave Milo and Devan a kiss on the cheek
"Thanks for the donuts!!" I chimed merrily before stepping out of the penthouse

Milo's POV
That was the second time Rora kisses my cheek, I should take note that I can get a second kiss if I make her happy by buying her food. The other me inside my head is now preparing a list of what food that Rora liked

Devan was left baffled, he was like in a state of shock and surprise altogether. Edi slapped Devan's back to bring him back to reality
"Dude is that your first cheek kiss?" He asked him jokingly

"My first cheek kiss other than a family member that is" Devan politely answered and was wary of what my reaction will be, I ruffled his neat hair that was always full of gel to stay in place
"Calm down, I'm not too possessive to get angry that you also got a cheek kiss from my girlfriend" I chuckled

Devan sighed from relief like a heavy burdened had been lifted from his chest, I will never think of Devan as someone who will betray me because I know him like the back of my hand

He nodded to me before he left the penthouse to drive Rora home, Edi groaned as he dramatically draped himself at the couch backrest
"How come I don't get a cheek kiss from her?"

"You didn't contribute in buying the donuts fool face"

"Fool face? That's a new insult" he was mocking me, I just ignored him and took the tablet that Devan left on the coffee table to look at my work again

Now that I think about it, where did I hear the term fool face again?

Aurora's POV
It was a long drive but it was fine because we were stuck in the middle of the traffic, he stopped in front of my home

I was reaching for the car door when Devan suddenly spoke
"Milo looks happy"

I stopped midway from reaching the car door and turned to face him
"I have never seen him so happy and looking more alive, I hope you help him come out of his shell. Also, I will secretly tell you that his birthday is also right around the corner about two weeks" he said to me, there was a spark of hope in his eyes

I felt even more guilt, I was speechless because I didn't expect Milo to become different after I date him. Here I am using Milo as a way for me to forget Archer but Milo was always there for me

I was slapped with a realization by the other me inside of my head, Milo cared for me. He was starting to have feelings for me, I'm not sure if that suspicion is true but it might be

He has done so much for me than Archer could have in our long time friendship, my lips curved up into a wide grin
"Devan, please tell Milo to meet me at the South Mall tomorrow. Thank you for the ride"

He gave me a smile and a small nod before I got out of the car, he left the street then I went into my home
"I'm Home!" I loudly announced as I went in by the door

"DONUTS!" I heard a loud voice of a woman, it was my Mom and Sara running to me. Sara jumped to me with a hug causing the both of us to fall, Mom took the donuts before I fall
"Geez, thanks Mom"

"Did you buy donuts?" Dad asked me as he came to the living room from the kitchen holding a glass of iced coffee
"Nope, Milo bought the donuts and his cousin went to the donut shop across the other street"

While I was explaining to them Mom, Arlo and Sara started to eat the donuts. My eyes were set on the iced coffee at Dad's hand

Dad laughed a little and gave me the glass of iced coffee
"You can have it, I can make another one in the kitchen"
He kissed my temple before going to the kitchen

I only ate a strawberry glazed donut and drank the iced coffee, I still remember my diet so I held myself back a bit. I went up to my room and went to the savings that I earned through my part-time job in some small bookstore that is doing fairly well with loyal customers and because the shop is near a Mall

"This should be enough to buy Milo's glasses" I told myself as I am counting how many dollars that I need, Milo kept paying and I don't want to depend on him too much when it comes to buying stuff

"What are you doing sis?" Arlo peeked through my door and is not coming into my room
"Getting through my savings to buy Milo some glasses and.." I look at him

"Hey Arlo, do you know what Birthday present would be perfect for Milo?" I asked him because Milo was my first boyfriend and I have no clue what my gift would be

He sat in an Indian sitting position at my bed
"Well he is your boyfriend so does he have any habit that you tend to notice?"

I played with my lip as I reverse my memories, there is one thing in common when I remember my time spent with Milo
"He has a habit of looking at his phone because he is always looking at the time"

"Have you seen him wear a watch?" He asked as he is rummaging through the drawer that I used to stash my candies in but I threw them out after I started my diet, I shake my head. He never wore any watch

"Do you know a place where I can buy a nice quality watch?"
Arlo looked at me with a mischievous look

"Oh sister, have you forgotten? I spent more time in a men's magazine than the average person so of course, I know" he sarcastically told me which resulted in him getting hit with a slipper by me

"He is also coming here tomorrow for dinner" I informed him that making Arlo almost drop my precious snow globe that has an Eiffel Tower in the middle

"You almost dropped it you fool face" I muttered under my breath
