You Almost Killed Him

Aurora's POV
"Maybe?" Milo looked at me with shocked eyes as he reacted to me in an overdramatic way, I flicked his forehead

"If I have a child as a boyfriend people would call the police and I will be arrested" I told him and he responded by flicking my forehead back

"That's true but your forehead flicking hurts" he answered, he drove to the penthouse and I carried the box with Milo all the way to the elevator. As soon as Milo open the two huge wooden door entrance, we were greeted by Edi and Devan watching a show in the living room

"Hey Aurora" Devan stood up and took the box away from my hands

"Miss Plain Jane is here~" Edi sang loudly and Milo elbowed him to the stomach and his face had pain written all over, he has to sit at the couch headrest to help him lessen the pain

"Milo that was not nice" I scolded Milo through a whisper as I passed by him to get Edi some water
"I have my reasons Rora" he leaned into me with his eyes so serious yet has a bit of shine in them, his lips though has that mischievous smirk

"You won't fool me with those eyes of yours if your lips say otherwise" I grinned at him and batted my eyelashes before going to the fridge, I pulled out a cold water bottle and toss it to Edi but sadly Edi is still in pain and is not in his reaction time so it resulted in the water bottle hitting him at the side of the head

"OW!!" He yelled
"Relax dude it's not cement that hit you" Milo told him not even caring to give him a second look

"And here I thought that I would model for your compa-" Edi was cut off with Devan instantly throwing a book at his face

The book hit his face so loudly that I mistake it for a slap

Milo's POV
I look at Devan "you almost killed him" I whisper yell

"Sorry boss but that is the object nearest to me at the moment" he gave me a shrug and a sheepish grin

"Edi! You okay?" Rora speed ran to him and checked his face, Edi's nose is now bleeding

"My apologies Edi" Devan knelt down beside him and gave him a tissue roll, Edi glared at him and yanked the tissue roll out of Devan's hand

"I can understand Milo's girlfriend since it was an accident but you...I swear I will throw a book at you someday" he threatened Devan, my secretary has faced a lot of threats so Edi's threats are just simple to him

I patted Edi's back to comfort him

Aurora's POV
Edi gave me a pitiful face
"This is what they do to me, they're so violent Plain Jane" he hid behind me and hissed at his so-called friends

I rolled my eyes at him and hit him at the back of his head
"My name is Aurora, not plain jane" I said and stood up to sit on the couch crossing my leg and arm at him

He sat up properly when told him off seriously

Milo's POV
"What an amusing sight" I said in my head, Devan was also entertained

Rora was sitting like she owns the place and Edi is kneeling right in front of her like a pitiful person, I sat in an Indian sitting position beside him
"I tried to warn you but you didn't listen"

Edi is a playboy, yes like any person would say in a movie or in a book he is an embodiment of the playboy character. So I wouldn't be surprised if some women hit him at the back of his head or kick him where the sun don't shine

He has the most annoying trait of giving offending nicknames to women, last time he called a woman "orbit on wheels" in a restaurant where the waitress use roller skates to move around

He came back with a shiner the next day but he told me his new conquest who is no surprise the lady who he called "orbit on wheels" I will never know how he even managed to talk her into doing all that

He may act like that but in his true form under all that mean nicknames he gives to women, he is actually the only person who understands my problems and was a good listener. He might be able to redeem himself if he could stop acting like an idiot

Rora smiled a little at him and her warm eyes are back, Edi's face says it all. He saw it too

It was only quick because Rora scolded Devan next, Edi shook his head and lightly slapped his face
"I think I saw someone else" he told me in a bewildered look

"You will see more of that soon if you keep spending time with Rora" I replied and his face is now filled with confusion

"I will explain everything later, so don't mention anything about my company" I muttered to him and he nodded to me

"Yeah, I would listen to you. I don't want another slambook to my face" he joked and I groaned

Aurora's POV
I scolded Devan and he was listening to me attentively
"Yes, I won't do it again" he reassured me

I heard Edi's loud snort, I turned my head to see Milo annoyed and Edi kept poking him at the side. Devan smiled at them

I spent a few hours in the penthouse trying to learn how to carve a small bunny as a beginner, luckily Devan was very skilled in wood carving because his late mother used to make wood carving as a living. Me and Edi cried at his story that we have to comfort ourselves by eating Milo's tub of ice cream in the freezer

I learned that Edi was Half Japanese and Half British, he was also a relatable guy because I can relate to him about the stress of keeping ourselves presentable

"So how did you met Milo?" I asked him as I finish the tub of ice cream with my last scoop, Milo was talking to Devan in the office while me and Edi we're sitting at the high chairs near the kitchen island

Edi licked his lips for the left over ice cream
"I met him at a bar back in Italy"

"A bar?" I asked
