Are You Italian?

Aurora's POV
"What are you doing here?" I asked her

"Same to you, what are you doing here?"

"Rora who's that?" Milo's voice erupted behind me and he showed his face to Milly who has her jaw dropped, she pointed her finger to Milo "What are you doing here!?" She was puzzled

She looked at the both of us then back to the business card that she was holding with two hands "It says here that this is his address" she muttered

Milo raised his brow in wonder "Whose address?" He asked her and she gave him the business card, I took a peek to see that it was Devan's and the address that he put down was Milo's address

"Why are you visiting Devan at almost midnight Milly?" I moved aside to let her in while asking her, she sat at the edge of the long couch and pulled out something in her bag. It was a huge poster of Edi

"I told him that this guy is hot and he didn't agree with me so I will try to visit his home to shove this poster up his face so he can understand the meaning of the word hot" she crossed her arms

I held the poster with both hands then simultaneously glanced at Milo who was trying to not laugh so he cleared his throat up a bit, I took in a deep breath and let it all out. The guy that Milly is calling hot is Milo's best friend and I don't think she can handle that fact yet

I nudged Mill's side with my elbow lightly and whispered to him "Why is Devan using your place as his address?"

He shrugged "Dunno, I just let him" he told me nonchalantly

"Oh sure and this is what happens if you let him" I gestured to Milly who was walking around the penthouse as she looks in awe at everything, Mill gave me a sheepish smile and I rolled my eyes playfully "Be careful next time you doofus, you almost got caught by Milly if I wasn't here"

Milly looked out at the huge window with the amazing view of the city "He owns this place?!" She was asked us with a surprised expression on her face, I nodded to her

"Yeah, that is why I am hanging out with Milo here right now since he is his cousin anyway" I pit down the poster next to her bag and secretly gave Milo the look to hide anything that deemed suspicious to Milly

He understood my look so he quickly went to his office and took out the key from his pocket to lock the door, he checked the other rooms if he had left some important files in there and luckily he didn't. When he was done he walked back to sit beside me on the couch

I faced Milo and asked him "Can I borrow your phone?"

He didn't hesitate to give it to me and I dialed Devan who was on Milo's speed dial

"Yes, boss?" His voice answered my call

"It's Rora by the way" I told him and he changed his serious tone into a chirpy one

"Is there something you need Rora?"

I shake my head and glanced up at Milly who was now looking through the kitchen "No but you need to be here because Milly came here looking for you"

I think I heard Devan mumble "Bloody Sh*t" lowly but I managed to hear it through the phone his British accent never fails to surprise me, even when he curses

"I'll be there quickly" he ended the call

Now that I remember that Devan has a British accent I should ask Milo about his Italian language, I gave the phone back to Milo first before asking "Are you Italian?"

He looked at me funny then chuckled "I'm half Italian and half Canadian Rora, my Mom is Italian while my Dad is Canadian. Why?"

"Nothing just wanted to ask since there are a few times I would hear you say Italian words, do you use it when you work too?" I put my leg up on the couch near my chest

"I do use it when I need to make a partnership with people in Italy, one of my company's biggest partnerships, and a good friend is there" he whispered in my ear

Milly sat on the couch looking bored "Why is he not here, don't he have work to do tomorrow? So why is he out late?"

"Milly he is a secretary he is doing his work right now" I answered her in my head, if only she knows the truth

Devan is a workaholic, that is what Milo told me because he would find Devan early to work and be the last person to leave the company after. He is a diligent and polite guy if I could describe him

Milo would always treat him like he is not a secretary but as a good friend but Devan always understands his boundaries even though Milo doesn't mind him calling his name informally if they were alone

"Do you want snacks? I'll make snacks" I told them before going to the kitchen to make a simple sandwich, it didn't take an hour for Devan to arrive from work with his annoyed face. He saw his boss but Milo clearly gave him a clue on how to act right now so Devan decided to show us his acting skills that fooled me good

"So what are you doing here late at night?" He asked Milly who gave him her disappointed look

I finished making the sandwiches and I put it down at the coffee table before my hand messaged one of Milo's shoulders so he could look up at me to signal him that we should move to the other room to give them privacy since I know Milly is not the one to back down in an argument

We both went to his master's bedroom leaving the door slightly open so we could hear their conversation
