A Magazine?

Aurora's POV
I walked out of the bedroom after I wore the shorts and fixed my hair into a low ponytail, Milo was talking to Edi about something. I can't hear their conversation because they're too far outside the terrace

Milo's face was serious as he talked to Edi, he caught me staring at him so he gave me a quick smile before Edi noticed. My body turned the other way so he wouldn't see my face "Why does he have to be like that?" I asked myself in my head as I pulled out a carton of milk and some cereal that Io found in a random cabinet

"I'm sure Milo won't mind" I said out loud as I pick up the lucky charms cereal

My bowl is now empty but their conversation hasn't, I can't be too nosy since the last time I did I saw his scary side. Going back to the bedroom to check my phone and to play some games after I walked back to the living room and sat on the couch

Something was hiding under the couch "A magazine?" The corner of what seemed to be a magazine was poking out beneath the couch, my hand reached for it to find that it was a gossip magazine that was old

As soon as I was about to peek inside the magazine was taken away from me, I leaned back my head to see Milo hiding the magazine behind his back
"What is that?" I pointed

"Nothing" he bit his bottom lip
"Are you lying?" I asked him with amusement, I haven't seen Milo this secretive about a magazine so it made me more curious

I crossed my arms at him and pouted "you are not going to make me give the magazine to you with that face" he stuck his tongue a little bit at me before going into another room

Edi was minding his own business and by business I mean he was on a call with somebody, I walked out to the terrace and damn it is cold up here

"Yeah I'll go visit New York" he ended the call and looked at me

"Is it another photoshoot?"
He nodded and scratched the back of his neck and sighed

"Yeah, it can get tiring at times"

We heard someone come in and it was Devan who was in his suit and it looks like he is in a state of panic, he asked me where are Milo and I pointed him to the room

"Is he okay?" I gazed at Devan who went on the room, Edi leaned at a wall
"Must be urgent"

Milo's POV
"Sh*t Rora almost saw my pictures in these past gossip magazines" I ripped the pages in the magazine and threw them in the trash

There was a constant knocking at my door and Devan came in with his face full of sweat "There is a problem with the meeting with the other department store" he tries to catch his breath so I gave him a glass of water

He drank it and let out a huge breath as he was holding at the armrest of a chair trying to maintain his balance

"So is it that urgent that I'm needed?" I asked him as I look through the files that I have compiled last week that is laying on my desk, he nodded

"Looks like I have to leave Rora here, keep her entertained while I'm gone"

But if I leave Devan here with Rora what if I needed his assistance? Edi would be probably busy today too since he has to get his measurements with a fashion designer. Rora might be lonely here, I opened the door slightly just for me to peek out to the living room where Rora is patiently waiting for me

My hand that was holding the door was gripped tightly "Buy her the finest clothes and let her wait in my office, pretend that you own the place so you have to sit in my chair" I ordered Devan who was bewildered at my order

"You signed up to be my assistant so this is important, don't tell her a thing about the company so ordered every employee to keep their mouth shut got that?"

"Yes Boss" he stood up straight and fixed his shaggy appearance from all the running to a presentable assistant

"If she ever ask about anything I will be in a meeting at your place and you go on ahead and make something up for her to believe in" I walked out and Rora's eyes went to me

She stood up and strode to me with a concerned look "Is everything okay?" I look down to see her hands that are intertwined together

"Yeah everything is okay, it's just Devan asked me to go to a meeting at his place" she understood immediately

"Then what are you waiting for? Go, go" she pushed me to the bedroom and helped me pick a quick office outfit before I walked out of the closet, her hand-formed an okay sign as she grinned

I took long strides to get to her and she was caught by surprise as I pulled her by the waist and her hand went to my chest, her confused face just highlighted made my day to look at

"I asked Devan if he could assist you as you shop for clothes" I put my card in her hand

"Wai-" she tries to speak and Devan came into the room just in time to pull her away from me

"Can someone please explain to me what is going on? I'm left in the dark here!" She asked loudly to all of us as she pulled herself away from Devan

"I'll explain to you later" Devan pulled her to the elevator and they were now gone, I left the penthouse with Edi still inside. I doubt he will leave the penthouse unlocked since he sometimes crashes in my place and even steals food from the fridge
