I did it. I told her, and the look on her face right now is so worth the damn wait. I chuckle to myself as tears well up in her golden eyes and start to fall down her face. I turn my gaze to Taylor, who too is starting to cry, I can see the panic and the rage, Lucy should be back anytime now and then there no stopping me. I start to laugh "It's happening, it's finally happening" I laugh even harder, I can't help it, the joy bubbling inside me is uncontrollable. I can hear Raina start to sob and I curl over, I'm so happ-

Suddenly she stops, everything falls silent. I'm staring at the ground and all I can hear are footprints... is it Lucy? No, I lift my head in time to see Raina give Anya to Taylor and start to make her way back over to me. I look back into her eyes, but I can't see anything but anger. Pure anger. For a moment I get scared but then I start to laugh again

"You're a silly girl, fire can't hurt fire" I feel tears well up in my eyes as she takes me by the scruff of my neck

"No, it can't" she replies, her voice quiet and low and somehow that scares me even more "but this can" and with that she lays her fist into my gut. Anger wells up inside me, bubbling to the surface until I couldn't contain it any longer. Flames embraced me and I went straight for the black hair immune, grabbing her by the neck and lifting her as high as I can, my flames may not harm her but I damn well can, I turn and sneer at Raina "Whats your next move dear Raina? Your young sister on the floor and your precious girlfriend chocking, who will you save first?" A laugh comes up to the surface I've won, I've really won.

"WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU TO DESERVE THIS" Raina practically screams it and out of shock my flame dissipates. I let the immune fall to the floor and storm towards Raina, who at this point is crying, she looks up and me and at that moment I realise she doesn't remember, she doesn't know what happened. I take a step back unsure what to say and silence falls between all of us for about a minute before she repeats herself.

"Adam... what did I do to you that meant I deserved to watch everything I live, everyone I have die?" I look her over, her clothes are burnt and her eyes sore, she has bare feet she must have lost her shoes when she ran after Anya.

"I... I thought you knew" she waits as if I'm going to say more but nothing is said, no one moves or speaks for a while until she speaks "I knew nothing Adam, I didn't know what happened, I searched for you, for a whole year after I hoped you had got out too, and this... this is my thanks?" I can see she's sincere. I fumble backwards and collapse, my legs wouldn't move, I think, I try to focus. But I can't remember anything.

"Raina, what happened that day? The day we escaped?" She glares at me and takes a deep breath "you caught your foot on something as we jumped the last fence" her voice was soft and calm "I tried to take you with me but you refused, told me to run and you'll catch up." She looked away from me at her friends, both unconscious on the floor. "I tried to help you. I loved you and this is what you do when you see me after four years Adam" She was angry, upset, confused. "Raina" my voice trailed off, what could I say to even begin to amend for what I've done? I see her walk past me and as I look behind me I see Lucy with both of her other friends, tears well in my eyes and I freeze
