"You failed Physics. Again.", The voice of my dad made me flinch.

He rarely hit me or raised his voice even when I failed my subjects, numerous times but I had a feeling he reached his boiling point. I watched as he closed the report, taking off his reading glasses. I gulped and quickly faced down, avoiding his eyes.

"Sunghoon, look at me.", I shook my head, not budging.

"Look at me, son."

I slowly looked up and into his eyes. He didn't look angry? He looked worried? He sighed and ruffled my hair.

"Something must be bothering you. Is someone bullying you?", I snickered making him playfully glare at me.

"I'm being serious, Sunghoon. If there's anything at all, talk to me."

Should I tell him? Should I tell him I've had a crush on this cute boy at school and he's actually popular and a senior? Yeah no. I'm scared of what he would think of me.

I smiled, shaking my head.

"I'm fine, dad. I just...haven't been taking physics seriously and I promise I'll focus on it more."

Dad was apparently happy with my answer as he smiled, ruffling my hair again.

"Good. Go up to your room and rest."

I took my report book and rushed up the stairs to my bedroom. I flipped on my bed once inside. I was about to take a shower when my phone sounded off. Who texted me?

'hey nerd'

'ugh who is this? stop being a jerk and piss off'

'woah there, you're a feisty one aren't u?'

'ok who the hell are you and what do you want'

'it's jaeyun and i heard you failed physics'

I nearly threw my phone when i saw the text. What the fuck! Oh sorry for my language but Jaeyun? Shim Jaeyun of all people texted me? A nerd? Well I'm not a smart nerd. Just a nerd in appearance. Wait, how did he get my number?

'wow i'm being left on read'

My eyelid twitched as he mentioned me failing Physics again. He's right but he doesn't have a filter does he?

My eyes widened as I read the text he sent. Did he..just call me..pretty boy?!

'nice. how bout we meet at the cafe close to school tomorrow?'

Tomorrow's Saturday so it's perfect.

'sure, that sounds good.'

He stopped texting after that but I was frozen. Shin Jaeyun really texted me. My crush. My cute, popular, and handsome crush just texted me. I should probably search for something cute to wear.

After showering and changing into comfortable clothes to sleep in, I began my search for 'cute' clothes. Sweaters..No, too plain. Aha! I'll wear a white t-shirt and wear a brown oversized coat on the outside! That's cute enough, right?

I really hope he finds it cute. First impressions always matter to me.
