Kavya's pov
Standing outside my home I rang the the doorbell, and when the door opened I was greeted by the smiling face of my mother, and was engulfed into a bear hug by her, the best feeling in the world is to be in your mother's arms. As I entered I was engulfed with aroma of my mamma's home cooked typical punjabi food(my favourite 😀😉)
"Maa itna sab banane ki kya zaroorat thi?" I asked her. (What was the need for mom to make all this?)
" Mera baccha itne din baad ghar aa rha hai toh kya mai uske liye itna bhi na karu? Chal ab yeh sab chod jaa jaldi se fresh hoker aaja tere papa ko bhi nhi pta tu aa gayi hai shaam ko surprise dena hai na?"(My child you came back home after so long, so it's my wish to atleast do this much for you. Now go and get fresh, your dad doesn't know that you have returned, so wanna surprise him?)
As soon as the words lest her mouth I left the kitchen and went to my room to freshen up.
Oh sorry guys how stupid of me maine khud ko introduce hi nhi kiya.
So I am Kavya Singh Major General in the Indian Army. I am 24 years old and I am my family's princess. Being in army means living away from the family for elongated periods but I know my family is proud of what I do. It was my grandfather's dream to be in the army but he couldn't and now I am completing his dream and I am very happy to serve my nation. My family consists of my maa, papa, bhai, bhabhi and my two little munchkins Manpreet and Roohjas. You might be thinking that where is rest of my clan then let me tell you. You will be finding my bhai and papa working in office, typical workholics and for past few months they have been dragging my bhabhi too for legal paper works. Manpreet and Roohjas are sleeping but as you see no one and I mean no one does not want to see my maa's wrath so as the clock will strike 5 everyone will be home.😀 So now I am home from my mission after 7 months and will be home for around 5 to 6 months and let's see what life's store has for me.
