nini nodded as she watched her aunt pace back and forth in the kitchen, the brunette girl eating her plate of food nonchalantly as erica went on
"nini, isn't the whole point of you wanting to act like a normal seventeen year old girl that no one knows?" erica asked with a raised eyebrow
nini put her hand up as she calmly finished chewing her food, erica folding her arms with a sigh before the brunette swallowed and opened her mouth to speak
"aunt erica, it's all under control!" she smiled "ricky's a teenager, right?"
erica thought for a second "well, sometimes he acts like a four year old..." she hummed "but, i guess other times yes."
"and he's - from what i saw - pretty uptight and knows a lot about...rules." nini said with a shudder "but, regardless, it'll be okay! he has friends and he's going to teach me to be a normal girl, and voila!"
erica nodded as she sat down in front of the girl "and you've thought this entire thing through?"
nini giggled "oh, i don't ever think things through, i do them in the spur of a moment and go for it, but he knows now, so it's a little too late."
erica opened her mouth to reply but nini's phone notification bell went off, making the girl jump and fall out of her chair in fear
"nini!" erica exclaimed, standing up but the girl just laughed
"i'm okay!" nini replied, sitting up right as she dusted herself off and let out a breath "i'm good!"
"if you so much as get a scratch on your knee, your mom's gonna go ballistic." erica muttered to herself
"may you hand me my telephone please?" nini asked kindly, pointing the the device on the table
erica shook her head with a chuckle "you can just say 'can i have my phone'" she told her, taking the phone and handing it to the girl
nini took it "oh, thank you."
erica nodded "and by the way, tell ricky i say hi,"
nini raised her eyebrows, looking down at the lockscreen to see that it in fact was the curly-haired boy messaging her - him having received her number when they bought the phone earlier today.
