"there are so many choices here!" nini exclaimed excitedly, eyeing the east high cafeteria food as she moved down the line with the curly-haired boy standing next to her.

ricky chuckled "well, i don't think it'll be as good as the food you're used to,"

he suddenly jumped when she gasped at the sight of cheeseburgers and pointed at them.

"may i have one?" she asked the lunch lady, to which she just nodded and slumped the burger on a plate of fries on nini's lunch tray.

"you've never tried a cheeseburger have you?" he asked knowingly

the girl shook her head with a sigh "i've always wanted to, but my mother would always go ballistic if i ever ate food that was 'chemical'. so, no pizza, burgers, fries-"

ricky raised his eyebrows "what a mother..."

"queen for a reason." nini joked with a chuckle as the two got their food and made their way to an empty table

nini got a good look at the cafeteria hall and it was huge. she saw how multiple kids rushed around to meet with their friends and eat and the chattering of the teens filled the echoes of the hall. it was a pretty vibrant place and nini loved the environment.

as soon as they were seated, nini took ahold of her plastic fork and knife, cutting the burger to eat it...

meanwhile, ricky took a bite of his burger and stopped midway when seeing nini placing a piece of the burger into her mouth from the fork, putting his own burger down as he cleared his throat lightly

"what are you doing?" he asked with a raised eyebrow

nini looks up at him as she keeps cutting the piece of food "i'm eating a cheeseburger. obviously."

ricky nodded "um, nini, you know that they have cheeseburgers in europe?" he tells her

nini stopped, knitting her eyebrows together in confusion as he shook his head

"you're supposed to eat it like a normal person, not like you're having tea with the queen of england." he grinned

"well, then how else should i eat it?" she asked with a raised eyebrow

ricky put his finger up before reaching for a ketchup packet and taking the bread bun off as he opened the pack and added the sauce onto the patty before putting back the bun on and tapping it a few times

"okay," he breathed as he gave her a look to copy him and picked the burger up.

nini opened her mouth before hesitantly putting the cutlery down and carefully picking the burger up and holding it firmly as she took a small bite of the food.

she looked at ricky with hope and her eyebrows raised as well as a ketchup mustache stain on her face

"like this?" she asked

ricky bit his bottom lip to fight a laugh as he nodded "yeah," he grinned "perfect."

the girl nodded brightly as they continued eating their food before hearing loud voices arriving towards them

"no, why would you pick to be invisible instead of being able to fly?!" a tall raven-haired boy questioned in shock as he sat down next to nini, the girl jumping in slight fright as she glanced at ricky, who was just shaking his head with a knowing sigh

"because, you can fly on an airplane but you can't be invisible ever!" seb, the blonde boy from earlier today, exclaimed

"i don't know, ricky's pretty good at it." a dark-skinned brown-haired girl grinned
