Weeks had passed since that memorable date, and with it, something between the soon-to-be husbands had shifted. They had become closer—much closer.

Talking day and night over the phone had now become a routine. It started with simple goodnight calls, but somehow, neither of them ever seemed to hang up early. "Just five more minutes" turned into hours of soft laughter and whispered conversations in the dark.

Meeting each other often had also become a common occurrence.

Jungkook had found himself making excuses just to see Taehyung—whether it was a sudden craving for a specific coffee from Taehyung's favorite café or pretending to have "accidentally" passed by his house. And Taehyung? He never questioned it. He welcomed Jungkook's presence with open arms.

But today...

Today was important. Today, their families were finally going to fix the date of their engagement. And nobody could be happier than Jeon Jungkook. From the moment he woke up, his energy was unmatched. He had been smiling all day, twirling around his room, humming melodies as he got dressed, and even doing an impromptu little dance while brushing his teeth.

When he walked downstairs for breakfast, he practically skipped into the dining room, his entire face radiating excitement. Mrs. Jeon and Mr. Jeon, who had been casually drinking their morning tea, paused and exchanged knowing looks.

Their son was glowing.

The reason? Obvious.

As Jungkook grabbed a piece of toast, his feet bounced against the floor, unable to contain his bubbling excitement. Every few minutes, he would sigh dreamily, twirling the butter knife between his fingers like a lovestruck fool. His mother couldn't hold back any longer.

"Kook, baby, we get it—you're happy." Jungkook blinked at her, mouth still full of toast. "Hmm? I'm always happy, mom." Mr. Jeon chuckled from behind his newspaper. "No, son, you're extra happy. And I wonder why..."

Mrs. Jeon smirked, tapping her fingers on the table knowingly.

"Oh, I don't know... Maybe because today is the day you officially claim your 'angel'?" Jungkook instantly froze mid-chew. His ears turned red, and he quickly looked away, pouting. "Mooom, don't tease me!" He whined, cheeks puffed like an actual bunny.

Mrs. Jeon and Mr. Jeon laughed. Their son—the cold, powerful CEO that the entire world feared—was sitting in front of them, whining like a baby over his soon-to-be husband.

How adorable.

Jungkook groaned dramatically, resting his head on the table. "Why are you both always bullying me?" His mother reached over and gently pinched his cheek. "Because it's fun watching you so smitten, baby."

Jungkook whined again, but the truth? He didn't mind. Because today was the day. The day his dream finally started to come true. And nothing could ruin it.

 And nothing could ruin it
