It was late at night, and Taehyung found himself lying wide awake in bed, unable to sleep. No matter how much he turned, adjusted his pillows, or closed his eyes, the excitement buzzing through his veins wouldn't let him rest. Tomorrow was an important day—their engagement ceremony—and the thought alone sent waves of emotions rushing through him.

After what felt like an eternity of tossing and turning, he let out a soft sigh before slipping out of bed. Hoping to calm his nerves, he made his way to the bathroom, deciding that a warm shower might help. The water cascaded down his body, relaxing his muscles, but unfortunately, it did nothing to quiet the racing thoughts in his mind.

Still feeling restless, he stepped out, dried himself, and threw on his most comfortable sleepwear. Yet even then, sleep refused to come. Feeling utterly helpless, he grabbed his phone, his fingers hesitating over the screen before finally typing out a message.

Taehyung knew Jungkook was most likely asleep—it was already late, and the younger had been busy all day preparing for tomorrow. But to his surprise, the reply came almost instantly.

That simple response brought an instant smile to Taehyung’s face. He hadn’t expected Jungkook to be awake, let alone feeling the same way.

Instead of continuing their conversation through texts, he called him, and the second the line connected, he could hear the younger’s cute, sleepy whine through the phone.

They talked for hours, sharing their thoughts and excitement for the big day ahead. Despite their exhaustion, neither of them wanted to hang up. It felt comforting to hear each other’s voices, making the overwhelming emotions of the upcoming day feel more manageable.

Minutes turned into hours, and before they knew it, the clock had struck midnight. Their voices became softer, their words slower, and eventually, both of them drifted off to sleep with their phones still pressed to their ears.

Tomorrow was the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, and neither of them could wait.

The next morning, Taehyung woke up later than usual, the exhaustion from last night still lingering. He stretched lazily before remembering what day it was. His heart pounded with excitement.

He headed straight to the bathroom, indulging in a long, warm bubble bath. He placed a cooling face mask on his skin, enjoying the calming scent of lavender. Humming softly, he let the warm water relax his nerves, knowing that tonight would be a night to remember.

After his bath, he carefully picked his outfit—a stunning black ensemble with subtle red accents. The black choker on his neck added an extra touch of elegance. He styled his silver hair with soft curls at the front and applied light but bold makeup, emphasizing his already mesmerizing features.

Satisfied with his reflection, he grabbed his phone and headed downstairs, where his parents were already waiting. They exchanged small smiles before stepping into the car, their driver smoothly pulling away from the house toward the Jeon residence.
