"Lily Evans, will you marry me?" James said, as he was on one knee, looking up at Lily, smiling hopefully. lily just flung her arms around him, and pulled him into a tight hug. "so, is that a yes?" James said uncertainly, desperately hoping that the excessive hugging and kissing wasn't some kind of apology for not excepting him.

"Yes" lily said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, "yes!"

"Really?" James asked, shocked that the girl of his dreams, that he had been chasing ever since they were eleven, had just agreed to marry him.

"Always the tone of surprise" lily said, adjusting James glasses.

"He did what?!" Alice asked lily, with face of pure shock.

"He proposed" lily said, smirking at Alice's expression, Alice said that Lily would never get married, how she was proved wrong.

"And... You said..."

"I said no" lily joked. Alice's face turned from shock to horror.

"You did what?!"

"I'm joking, Alice, wow, you are so gullible!" lily said, as she started to double over with laughter. Alice just gave her a death stare. "I'm going to phone Mar" lily said, still smiling and shaking her head.

"You didn't!" Sirius said to James.

"I did, I proposed to Lily." James said.

"And what did she say" Sirius said, guessing the answer would be no.

"She said yes" James said, "obviously she said yes, why wouldn't she?"

"Okay, no tell me the real answer, what did she actually say?" Sirius said, laughing at James.

"She did!" James defended, Sirius was still laughing, "shut up!" he still laughed, "I'm going to phone Remus and Peter."

"Do you, James Potter, take Lily Evans to be your lawful wedded wife?" the priest asked. James looked down at his soon to be wife, he saw a beautiful lady, wearing a beautiful wedding dress, with beautiful hair, everything about lily was beautiful. Her dark red hair, was in a half up half down style, it was fastened at the back with a flower hair slide, the same Lily flower hair slide that she wore at the end of school ball, the ball they all attended eight years ago. somethings never change.

"I do"

"And do you, Lily Evans, take James Potter to be your lawful wedded husband?"

Lily smirked as she remembered the short conversation she had with James, she said she would rather go out with the giant squid in the black lake than go out with James, and now, Lily was about to marry him. How times had changed.

"I do"

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride." the priest said. James kissed lily, even now, James kisses gave Lily butterflies and goose bumps. After a while of mingling with lily and James' new in laws, Sirius stood up to deliver his best man's speech:

"If i could have your attention? This is the part where i make my best man speech, the one that I told James i had already prepared even though I haven't? sorry James. when he told me that Lily and himself were getting married, i didn't believe him, i just laughed at him. do you want to know why? because ever since our first year at Hogwarts, he has been trying to win Lily over, he hadn't succeeded, until our sixth year. That's some of the reasons he is my best friend, it's because he NEVER gives up, its amazing how many tries he does before he gives up, its amazing. so yeah, that's it really, just have a nice time being married!" Sirius said, then guests applauded.

James and lily laughed with each other as they were in a deep conversation "will you stay with me, James?" lily asked.

"always" he said to lily.

"until the end?"

"until the very end." James confirmed.
