Both were still talking when we heard the sound of the new crew. We looked at each other with comprehensible eyes, knowing that we could continue the conversation eventually, but that now there was more to worry about than our personal love life.
Walking alongside each other in silence, taking a leap of faith before entering the elevator, I held his hand. I did not look him in the eyes since we left my bedroom, and I had no intention of doing so until we found the others. But I feel like this little gesture can make Karl understand that our conversation was about a 'not yet instead of a 'never'.
It mind sound silly for some to try to make this right with only one gesture. For a long time, I heard about how a gesture is worth a thousand words. I supposed that is my tentative of proving this theory.
He smiled. That is a good sign.

We can see this afterwards. Right now, I need to untangle my and Karls hands before we go and talk to whoever might be waiting for us.
- Hello! Do you guys take good care of the ship?
Nikki greeted us. Taking an uncomfortable amount of remains out of the tip of her hair. Even though it was on a bun, she managed to get them dirty. I have never been so grateful for not being that good enough.
