16. Finally Free/ Edge Of Great (part 1.)

Julie fixes her mic and moves it closer to her mouth.

"Hi." She greets the audience. "It's actually "Julie and The Phantoms." No one says anything in audience, so it creates awkward silence. "Okay.." (bold and italics are emerson singing with/ without others !)

Hearts on fire, we're no liars. So we say what we wanna say. I'm awakened, no more fakin'. So we push all our fears away.

Don't know if I'll make it cause I'm fallin' under. Close my eyes and feel my chest, beating like thunder.

I wanna fly. Come alive. Watch me shine!

Our turn to sing! We all poof in, the crowd gasping. Julie gets up off of her piano bench and comes to join us in the middle of the stage. I'm in the middle of her and Luke.

I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see. And you're a part of me, hands up if you're with me. Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe. Been so long and now we're Finally Free!

We're all bright now, what a sight now. Coming out like we're fireworks. Marching on proud, turn it up loud. Cause now we know what we're worth.

I take a few small steps closer to Luke, singing. We make direct eye contact while singing.

We know we can make it we're not falling down under, close my eyes and feel my chest beating like thunder. Close my eyes and feel my chest beating like thunder. 

Julie joins in, belting 'watch me shine.'

Reggie comes over to Luke, sharing his mic. Whenever they do that, they have total fire in their eyes. (IYKYK)

Reggie goes away from Luke and I take that as my oppourtunity. I make my way over to him, singing.

I tilt the microphone to Luke, and I keep alternating between us.

I make eye contact with him the whole time, feeling like I was only singing to him. I have a crush. A major crush. Oh, god.
