Back in the 1940s, Marlene hadn't truly realized just how much what she was doing mattered. She didn't realize that she inspired so many people. She didn't realize she was doing more than just fighting Hydra.

However, as she stands in the exhibit of the Smithsonian dedicated to her, she realized such.

It was Steve's idea. It was his idea to continue their tradition of spending Sundays together, just the Rogers siblings. No one else. It was his idea to go to the Smithsonian, despite being there often enough. It was his idea to bring his sister there, knowing she had never gone.

Steve knew his sister wasn't too fond of museums. He knew she hated them because they were always "dull" and "too time away from work." He also knew his sister was always working. She was always doing something; training, fixing something, or in the lab working.

Whether his sister knew it or not, but he most definitely knew she was not okay the previous night on the phone. That was one of the few things Steve prided himself on; being one of few people to read his sister. He knew his sister wouldn't want to talk about what made her upset. He thought he could bring her along while he did something that helped him relax, that helped him "reset".

"A symbol to the nation," the narrator said as the Rogers siblings made their way through the Captain America exhibit. "A hero to the world. The story of Captain America is one of honor, bravery, and sacrifice."

"Did you seriously bring me to the museum exhibit dedicated to you?" she asked, rolling her eyes as she adjusted her black ACDC baseball cap. "And these are horrible disguises!"

"Have you gotten anything better?" Steve wheeled around, raising a brow. Marlene opened her mouth to answer when Steve cut her off. "Actually, don't answer that."

"Denied enlistment due to poor health, Steve Rogers was chosen for a program unique in the annals of American warfare," the narration continued as Marlene viewed a photo of 'Little Steve'. "One that would transform him into the world's first super soldier."

A small smile made its way onto Marlene's face as she watched a young boy measuring his height with Little Steve.

To her right, her brother was signaling for a young boy, who recognized the two, to be silent. The boy nodded with his mouth hanging open.

Marlene stopped. She stood before an old video. She watched as her brother appeared on the screen, directing soldiers into battle. She watched as Dum Dum Dugan flashed across the screen, carrying out his orders.

"In this rare footage, everyone's favorite war hero, Captain America . . ." Marlene wasn't sure what the rest of the recording said. Steve directed her towards the next exhibit.
