"I'm finally leaving." Narnia thought. "And so soon." She added, as she stuffed clothes into a large bags.

There was nothing here for Narnia, and even though she was technically not allowed to be on her own unless her biological mother signed the, 'emancipation of minors' - but what no one knows can't hurt them, fortunately.

You okay?

Dave's voice brought Narnia out her thoughts.

She blinked a couple times, before looking towards her phone.

Yeah, why?

I mean, you we're just staring at 'nem pants.

Oh, I was just thinking.

hm. lemme ask you something.

Yes?

How would your father feel about this? Me. . . taking you?

Narnia bit her lip, trying to find a way to answer Dave's question.

I don't know, honestly. I mean, he's always been overprotective over me. I'm his only child. i think he'll be relieved but skeptical because he doesn't know you.

I figured so.

Narnia smiled small at the phone, ending the conversation.

She went back to folding and neatly packing her clothes into her bag. As she was occupied with this, she didn't know Dave staring directly at her.

This went on for a few moments, both comfortably in each other's silence.

You are beautiful, Narnia.

Smiling as soon as she heard the compliment Dave made, she averted her eyes towards him.

So are you, Dave Brewster.

                                                                         Dave grimaced at the name.

Don't call me that.

I call you whatever I want.

Oh yeah?

Yeah.

We'll see about that.

I guess we will.

Dave stared at her. His eyes hooded, making him appear high off cannabis. His arm covered his forehead and he would wet his lips at times.
