Rune sat in the Common Room cross-legged on the couch reading an erotic novel. She lifted her mug filled to the brim with Earl Grey tea and took a sip. She immediately pulled a face at the taste.

She had no idea how Regulus preferred it over regular English tea.

She glanced once at the clock which showed that he was already 20 minutes late. Since the rest of the team hadn't arrived either, she figured that practice must have been running over.

Her attention went back to her book as she drummed her finger against her mug.

She looked at the other mug left on the table in front of her- being kept warm by a heating spell- and considered throwing the contents down the drain. She was acting like they were in a real relationship.

Just as she moved forward to do just that, she heard the loud voices of the Slytherin Quidditch Team entering the Common Room.

She was too late, but she consoled herself by knowing that she was on her way to throw it out.

Regulus practically flopped down on the couch and rested his head against it, stretching out his neck.

Rune's eyes followed a bead of sweat as it dragged down the column of his throat.

He exhaled heavily and ran his hands through his hair. "We had to run 3 laps around the field."

Her eyes narrowed on his mouth as he licked his lips and grunted. "I'm worn out."

"I—er—" She cleared her throat and reached forward, grabbed the mug and gave it to him. "I made you tea."

He turned to her and asked, "You did?"

"Mmh, Earl Gray even."

As he reached forward to take the mug from her, his hands brushed hers and she nearly dropped the mug entirely at the innocent touch.

She was pretty sure she was in heat because she could not move her eyes away from watching his lips as he brought the mug to it and took a sip. Her eyes lowered down only enough for her to watch his Adam's apple bob as he swallowed before her eyes snapped right back to his lips.

"It's good," he commented. "Thanks."

Before she could focus on his next sip, she shook her head to clear itself and reached beside her for her current most prized possession. Her Astronomy Assignment

A slight peace of mind for her was the fact that her time of the month had begun. She knew that it was not her who was getting hyper-fixated on every small move of Regulus' but rather that serpent inside her who was waiting to be let loose.

When she faced him again, his head was resting against the couch and his hair was messy for the first time since she'd known him.

She was not okay.

"Er..." she said, blinking repeatedly and swallowing hard.

"What?"

She pressed her lips together and inhaled through her nose before saying, "I am about to take us to the next step."

He ran his eyes over her without saying anything and she knew that if it was any other time of the month, she would have been annoyed by him. But for some reason... for some bewildering, dumbfounding, ridiculous reason, she was finding it beguiling.

He was beguiling her. Regulus Black was beguiling her.

She really needed to shed.

Rune, in a fit of nerves, began to explain, "So, the assignment is due on Friday, but I won't be at lessons tomorrow or Friday because... well, I won't be."
