Chapter 18: Frozen yogurt date fail?

*the next day at school

I walked into my next class with Chloe.

"So, I saw you and Luke talking?", she teases me.

"Oh, yeah. You know him?", I asked.

"He's just in my math class. And you seem to be interested in him?" She asked nudging me arm and giggling.

"Maybe" I started to blush and giggle too.

"You know I can hook yall up?" She laughed.

"Chloe, I got this." I said.

"I'm happy your getting over douchebag" she was talking about Josh. yea I guess I am.

"Yep. So how are you and Mike?" I asked.

"Well we are talking and he hasn't ask me out yet." She replied.

"Aw dang it. I sure he will soon." I comforted her.

"I hope so. I have to go, bye." She said going into her next class.

"Bye."

I was walking towards the class I had with Luke. I made sure I looked good before walking in.

"Hey." He said as I sat down beside him.

"Hi."

"How has your day been?" He asked.

"Great. What about yours?"

"Pretty good. So I'll pick you up at four at your house?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'll text you my address later." I smiled.

He smiled back.

Our teacher walked in and class began. I just couldn't stop smiling.

*after school

I went into my room and started to pick out an outfit for the date. Well I guess you can call it a date. He was going to pick me up in 30 minutes so I have to get ready soon. I picked out some shorts and a cute top and curled my hair. Perfect.

*ding dong

Oh, he's here. I rushed down stairs and opened the door for him.

"Hey Luke" I smiled.

"Hey. You look nice." He smiled and said.

"Thanks" I replied, "come on in."

"Nice house."

"Thanks. Let me go get my bag and we can leave." I said heading upstairs.

"Ready" I said when I got back. We went out of my house and he opened the door for me. Awww, what a gentlemen.

"Thanks" I blushed.

Anything for you." He smiled. Awww, what a cutie.

We talked a little on the ride there and then we got to the library. At the library we studied a little but mostly flirted. I love the way he flirts. Not douchy and straight forward but very sweet and sophisticated.

When we were done studying, we went to the frozen yogurt store. The place where I first met Josh. No, forget him. I'm with Luke who is thousands of times better than Josh.

"What flavor are you getting?" He asked.

"Maybe tart or strawberry?" I said.

"Those are some of my favorite flavors." He said and we smiles at each other.

We ended up both getting tart and strawberry with whip cream and some fruit and candy on top. Oh and caramel, can't forget that. We sat down eating. We talked a little bout school and then the most randomness things ever! Out of no where I heard, "hey babe" and I felt a pair of hands on my shoulder. I turned around and saw it was Chad. Great, not again. oh gosh, my date with Luke is ruined.

"You have a new boyfriend? I thought you were single." Luke said seeming mad and disappointed.

"I am. He's just an ex of mine." I said.

"Then why is he here calling you babe?" Luke asked.

"Because she is my girlfriend." Chad said and smirked.

I stood up and push Chads hands off of my shoulder. "Would you stop that?! Why are you so in denial? We broke up months ago and you move here and try to get me back? Is it that terrible to you that I dumped you and you want to get me back? I know you games Chad!" I said angrily. Wow, that was a weight off my shoulders.

At this point, everyone was staring at us and a worker had to come over. "Excuse me, but yall can't just scream in here."

"Sorry" I said, "I promise it won't happen again." To the worker and she walked away.

"Now go Chad, I don't like you. I like Luke." I smiled at Luke.

"I like you too." Luke smiled back.

"Whatever, I will get you back." Chad said and stormed out of the frozen yogurt store.

Luke and I stared at each other for a while and then started to laugh.

"Who knew you could get so mad? And it's quite cute" he smiled.

"I couldn't help it and thanks."

"So, you like me?" He asked.

"I heard you like me too?" I raised my eyebrow and smiled.

"You didn't answer my question." He said

"Well you answer mine first" I laughed.

We did that for about 7 more times and then he took some frozen yogurt and put it on my face.

"Oh no you didn't" I laughed and smacked yogurt on his face.

"Imma getcha!" He said and put frozen yogurt on my face. It was one of those cute movie scenes in the movies that the teens have.

"Please, we can't have this going on in here. You guys are too loud." We were interrupted by the same worker.

"Sorry, we will get cleaned up and leave" Luke said.

We went into the bathroom and I got cleaned up. We paid and then got into his car. We talked on the way back to my house.

"The worker wasn't happy with us." Luke said laughing.

"I know right" I laughed.

"Oh and I like you to answer your question." He smiled looking straight and said it right when was going into my driveway. He got out of the car and opened the door for me and walked me to my front door.

I tuned around, smiled and said, "I like you too." He began to lean in and then we kissed. His lips smooth to mine. Just like Josh's. STOP MADISON. I might seem like a terrible person for thinking about someone else when with the guy I'm on a date with but I can't help it. I really like Luke and I'm trying to get over Josh for good. I'm almost there. Luke is the only person I want. I focused back in Luke. He kissed me passionately, it was amazing. After a minute or so, he leaned away.

I blushed, "thanks for the yogurt."

"No problem. I'll see you tomorrow." He said and walked to his car.

Maybe this isn't such a bad date. I smiled.
