Chapter 34: getting Kaylee ready

It was the day of Kaylee's date.

"Can you curl my hair later?", she asks as she does her makeup,

"Yeah of course."

"Thank you so much for helping me. It means a lot.", she says his her Australian accent.

I just smile.

I later do her hair in loose curls. Afterwards she puts on a tight, simple mohogany colored dress with black heels. Her makeup natural and showing off her eyes.

*ding*

"Oh! He's here!", she has the biggest smile on, "could you get the door?"

"Sure.", I was getting a little nervous. The last time I saw him was in a dream last night. When we were still dating, making out.

I breathe a long breath and open the door. Josh stood there in a tux. His hair shiny and eyes charming. "She'll be down in a bit. Come in."

He steps in and doesn't say a word.

"I'll tell her that you're here.", I tried smiling and being friendly. I run upstairs. "He's downstairs waiting." I smile at her as she took one last look of herself in the mirror.

"I'm so nervous. How do I look?", she asks me very fast and nervously.

"You look amazing. Really, you're going to have so much fun." I calm her down.

"Thanks. For everything.", she hugs me and grabs her clutch and phone.

She makes her way downstairs and I follow along.

"You look great.", Josh says to Kaylee.

"Thank you", she blushes. "You don't look bad yourself." She giggles.

Josh opens the front door and they walk to his car. Before the walled to his car, he gave me a quick, cold glance.

I lock the door and decide to text Chloe.

M: she just left with Josh

C: oh, you're not upset are you?

M: no, I'm happy for her. She was really excited. Plus I'm with Luke so it doesn't matter who he's seeing.

C: except that he's seeing your sister! That's weird, I don't want Kaylee to get hurt by that bastard.

M: lol He's a good guy, we just had a misunderstanding situation.

C: hopefully she doesn't have a crazy ex boyfriend to mess things up 😂

M: 😂😂

I genuinely hope all goes well for Kaylee.

I put my phone down and decide to watch Vampire Diaries. But all I could think about was their date.
