Her smile was unlike anything Wymer had ever seen before. It was soft, warm, and genuine. It was the kind of smile that made his heart skip a beat and his chest feel tight. He couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of possessiveness wash over him as he looked down at the phone, drinking in her beauty. "I missed you too, Meazey," he whispered as she giggled into the FaceTime call.

"Why are you all dressed up?" He asked, tilting his head curiously. He couldn't help but notice the way she was dressed, in a sparkly pink top and pants to match. Two pink clips in her hair which was long and flowing straight down her back. It was unlike anything she had ever worn in the past.

"Season premiere of The Walking Dead." She answered with a grin. It was her favorite show and he knew it. She loved being a character on the show, a part of the world she could lose herself in. For just a moment, her face lit up and she looked truly happy. It made him want to protect her, keep her safe from everything and everyone else.

"That's cool." Wymer said, his voice a little gruffer than he intended. He wasn't much of a TV person, but he knew she loved the show. He tried to keep the annoyance out of his voice, but it was hard when all he could think about was how much he wanted to be with her. He glanced around the room, taking in the empty space that surrounded him. He missed having her there, her presence filling the room with warmth and laughter. He wanted to be with her, to hold her and feel her body against his own.

"What about you?" Meazey noticed that wymer was dressed up in his wrestling attire for the school event. She was proud of him and always supported him, even though she knew it brought out the worst in him sometimes. It made her wonder what kind of life they could have together, if they could ever find some kind of balance.

"Event tonight, you know." Wymer said, trying to sound casual. He glanced down at his hands, flexing his fingers absently. The truth was, he was nervous. Not just about the match, but about how he would act afterwards. He had been trying to control his temper lately, to be more like the man he wanted to be for Meazey. But it was hard, so fucking hard when everyone was always in his face, trying to get a rise out of him.

"That's nice. I hope you win. Are you nervous at all?" Meazey asked, her voice gentle and reassuring. She knew how much pressure he was under to perform well in these events. He always seemed to put so much weight on them, like the outcome would determine his entire worth as a person. She wanted to tell him that he was more than just a wrestler, but she knew he wouldn't believe her.

"Nah. Never nervous. You know that." Wymer replied, trying to sound confident. In truth, he was more nervous than he had ever been. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, his palms sweaty.
