Debbie POV:

"Soooo.." Lou said awkwardly.

"Sooo..." I also said.

"Do you wanna go shopping?" Lou asked excitedly.

"This is not a date." I replied sternly.

"Never said it was. Just shopping, maybe bowling, then laser tags. Just the two of us." Lou smirked, and I couldn't help but smirk back.

"Look, I know we'll probably never be a couple, but please, can we be friends?" Lou added.

"Sure. Alright, then."

Third Person POV:

Debbie and Lou decided to forget what had happened between them yesterday at the engagement party and just be friends for a second. They both made a whole bucket list for them to complete for the day. On the list, window shopping was the first thing Lou wrote down. Debbie got ready and Lou waited patiently, adding more things to their 'list.' Once Debbie was done, they both excitedly exited Debbie's apartment, and then it hit them. They don't have a car. And they'd have to walk to the bus station, which is half an hour away.

"Shoot. Tammy took my car, where's yours?" Lou asked.

"Erhmmm... it's down in the basement parking lot." Debbie answered with her face looking down. Lou immediately saw the worried look on Debbie's face.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Lou questioned.

"I.. I don't know... how to drive." Debbie answered. Despite being middle aged, Debbie didn't know how to drive. She would always call Tammy to pick her up for work or walk everyday at 6:15 AM to the bus stop and travel from there onwards.

"WHAT?!?! YOU DON'T.. I CAN TEACH YOU!" Lou said excitedly, squealing.

"What?! No! What.. you know what, you can drive it instead." Debbie said proudly.

"Nope. I'm gonna teach you."

"Ugh. Whatever, let's go."

Debbie walked back in her apartment and grabbed her car keys. They both made their way down the elevator to the basement parking lot and Lou's jaw dropped when she saw a Tesla Model X 90D. It didn't drop because she was surprised Debbie had a Tesla, well she was, but it dropped because it was the exact Model and colour of her car.

"WOah! Our cars are twins! Except, your one is dusty and seems lonely."

"What?" Debbie asked puzzled.

"My car-"

"Whatever, let's just go." Debbie interrupted.

"No. You have a car and you don't drive it? So I'm going to teach you." Lou said.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes, now come with me." Lou grabbed Debbie's hand and dragged her near the car.

"No, Lou. I can't." Debbie hesitated.

"Debbie. Why?"

"Because... I'm scared."

"What? Hey, don't be scared. I'm here, alright." Lou softened her voice and spoke calmly to Debbie. Debbie nodded in response and entered the driver's seat. Lou made her way around the car and entered the passenger's seat. Debbie's hands were shaking as she placed it on the steering wheel. Lou placed her hands on top of Debbie's. At first, Debbie's hands stiffened because of Lou's soft hands, but she eased afterwards.
