"Shit!" Jiah gasped, springing up on her feet, she dashed towards the bathroom, limping halfway after stepping on a peice of lego that were scattered on the floor.

Cursing and groaning under her breath, she stood in front of the mirror, checking if her make up was still in place or needed some retouching. Barely fifteen minutes ago she was in the exact same situation: in front of the mirror analysing her face, so that her sleep deprivation won't show under her eyes like a red flag, especially when it's the deciding day of her job, the personal interview.

Even Jiah, herself, was left astonished with her awful tendency of falling asleep. People in the world would be dying in an apocalypse and she could very potentially be seen in her natural habitat, ie. under the covers, in her bed, the safest and most comfortable place to be. But today, it's more than an apocalypse. This job is important, and there's no way she'd let it go, despite falling asleep five minutes before leaving the house. But she's dead serious about the job!

"Mamma!" The toddler whines, hitting her legs, which is when she realises how bad she messed up again.

"I'm so sorry, Jihun." She almost cries, looking at the time and the blocks on the floor that she accidentally kicked and broke her son's Eiffel Tower. "You can build it again with uncle Yoongi okay? Don't cry, baby."

"Jiah? You ready? The cab is here!"

"Yeah, just a second!" Her voice is loud, but not loud enough over Jihun's wailing which makes her sigh and carry the boy in her arms. "I'm sorry champ. I'll help you make an even bigger tower when I come back. Now I've to go, please don't cry."

"What are you do—"

"Take him please." She shoves the two-year-old towards the elder male and smiles at him, "I'll get going! Bye! Take care you two!"

"Aish!" Yoongi shakes his head, glancing at the crying child in his arms. "Hey what happened? Did mamma say something?"

The boy rubs his eyes, sniffing a few times as his tiny index finger points at the floor, "Mamma bleak Ji towah..."

"Oh that is sad, your mamma is stupid sometimes." Jihun nods at the elder's comment, making Yoongi chuckle as he wipes the toddler's tears and sits down with him. "Let's make it again. And if mamma breaks it this time, then tell me okay?"

"Bad mamma"

Jiah inhales deeply, staring at the building standing tall in front of her, higher than many others, both physically and metaphorically. Three colours make up the exterior, the combination being too prominent and well known in the world, especially in east asia according the business-time statistics of the last quinquennial from korea's most reputed magazine of all time.

It was a whole lot more to see, which fascinated Jiah too, to the extent where she wanted to be a part of their production and management company. But the upheaval of Park Holdings, lured her more. Serving the front pages of her favourite magazine was this growing firm, owned and operated by a man who wasn't much older than Jiah herself, which also made self-conscious at times, looking at the young, self made man while she was struggling with her daily life.

So here she stood, taking the first step towards a bright future for herself and her son after completing her studies, including the diploma in business management, a year ago and an internship in January earlier this year. This could be a life changing step, Yoongi had told her, and she knew there was a big possibility of that happening if she worked hard and earned a nice paying post in Park Incorporates. Their payment is no joke.

Jiah's attention shifts back to reality as a sharp honk echoes in her ear, making her flinch and turn to the sound, finding a guy in his black matte motorcycle, motioning his gloved hand for her to move aside.
