I'm Only A Fool For You [Kai Havertz]

•Chapter 6

POV: Aurelia

I begin to wake up quietly to someone caressing my hair. Huh .Shit, am I staying with someone I have only met twice, yet feels like we have known each other for a long time? Yup. Do I regret it? Absolutly not. 

I look up at Kai, who is busy on his phone. He sees that I am moving and greets me with his morning voice. "Good morning, did you sleep well?"

"Hmm" I hum with a small laugh as I rub the sleep from my eyes. I slept well with him, only I was still wearing my dress from yesterday. Kai offered me his clothes last night but I couldn't do that so I politely declined. I quietly get off the bed and start asking him a question. "Where is the bathroom and could I borrow a toothbrush, if you don't mind?"

I feel bad for asking him that, I'll pay him back when I see him again. Hopefully. "The left door at the end of the hall and the toothbrush you'll find in the third drawer of a black cabinet."  

"Okay, thanks" I say sincerely. How is he such a sweet person? It is as if he is an angel sent towards me.

When I enter the bathroom, I see a black cabinet and open the third drawer. Toothbrushes where are you? Ah-ha found it. I take a toothbrush, put some toothpaste on it and start brushing my teeth. When I'm done, I splash some water over my face, because there's still some mascara on it from yesterday. While I'm fixing my hair I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in"

"Hey, Claire called you five times" Kai says as he hands over my phone. Shit, Shit, Shit. What am I going to say to her? Hey Claire, yes, I spent the night with someone I've only met twice. That's not going to work. Help me. 

"Thanks, I'll just call her back and then you can get changed" I say as I walk out of the bathroom. "Yeah, I think she is pretty worried and you can wait in the kitchen until I'm done" he says showing a smile. I just smile back and walk towards the kitchen.

It's ten o'clock damn have I slept that long? I open my phone and call Claire immediately, she picks up from the first ring. "Where the hell have you been?!" she screams over the phone, so in response I hold the phone a bit further from my ear. 

"I'm sorry, but you are the one who has the house keys and the car keys, so I had nowhere to go" I tell her. "Okay, yes, you have a point but where are you now, so I can come and pick you up" she says a bit softer than before. "Wait, I'll send you the address and thank you." 

"Okay, see you later."

"See you later." Just as I hang up, I hear Kai walk in. "Hey, is everything okay?" he asks as he is now wearing a beige hoodie with a design and black sweatpants. "Yeah, Claire is coming to get me" I tell him.

"Are you leaving already?" A sad expression takes place on his face.

"Have you seen me, I look like I was attacked by beavers".  Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but still. "No, that's not true, you look beautiful" he says as I start to blush. 

The tension was too much to handle so I decided to change the subject quickly. "Thanks, for the toothbrush, I will pay you back when we meet again sometime." 

"You don't have to do that, it's just a toothbrush" he responds. "Yes I do, otherwise I will feel guilty." It's true.

"Whatever you say, do you want some breakfast?"

"No, that's super kind, but Claire will be here soon" I remind him, when suddenly, I hear the doorbell. "Speaking of the devil" I mumble as Kai opens the door and lets Claire in.

Claire walks up to me and gives me a big hug. "Sorry, I should have given you the keys" she says into my hair. "It's no big deal, luckily I had Kai, otherwise who knows where I would have ended up" I chuckle and let go of Claire. 

She turns to Kai and starts thanking him. "Thank you, I appreciate that you have taken care of her."

"It was no problem" Kai shows one of his beautiful smiles. Then Claire turns to me. "Come on, you really have a lot to tell me" she says with her eyes widening. Oh no, I have officially been declared dead. "Yeah, yeah, stop complaining."

she gives me a look and then walks in the direction of the door. I grab my purse, that I almost forget and turn to Kai. "I can't say thank you enough, I might think that you are really a true gentleman."

I hear his angelic laugh, that I would never grow tired of. "I'll always be a gentleman for you, send me a message when you're safely home, loser" 

 "Alright idiot, have a nice day" I say as I walk out and run after Claire.

I get into the passenger seat and put my seatbelt on. "So what happened?" she asks me. "I'll explain everything at home and no, nothing special happened" I tell her. 

So when we get home I tell her everything well, not that we cuddled, but only the most important things. She also half told me where she was, because I really didn't need to know more. If you know what I mean...

Luckily today is Sunday, otherwise I would have missed work, but I do have to work tomorrow. I work in a small cosy cafe in London. I like it there and my colleagues/friends make it better. Their names are Kate and Iris, they are super nice. Oh, I almost forgot I have to send a message to Kai.

No I have to work :(
But I'm free on Saturday.

I can't Saturday and are you free next week?

Next week I am free on Tuesday and Sunday!

Alright then, can we meet on Sunday? I'll come and get you, because I have something important to tell you :)

They keep messaging each other throughout the night, so their friendship is getting stronger, but what does Kai have to tell her next Sunday?
