I'm Only A Fool For You [Kai Havertz]

•Chapter 16

POV: Kai

After the movie night Aurelia fell asleep in my arms, she looked so peaceful that I decided not to wake her, which leads to where we are now, in one of Trevoh's guest rooms.

She is a long sleeper, it is 11 o'clock and she is still not awake.

I look at her features and see that she has a small scar just above her left eyebrow. Before I know it, my finger begins to run over her scar. She is so effortlessly beautiful.

From the way she smiles at the smallest things to how she puts everyone before her own well-being. Just as my hands goes through her soft hair, she begins to move in her sleep.

She holds her hand in front of her eyes as the sun that has escaped between the curtains makes its way onto her face.

"Morning" I say softly when she turns her head to me. "Good morning" she answers when she puts her head back on my chest.

"How did I get here and where am I?" she asks in a sleepy voice as she begins to frown at the strange surrounding.

"Yesterday you fell asleep and Trevoh had offered us to stay the night, because you were very tired" I say as I hug her deeper into my chest.

She only hums and puts her arms more tightly around my waist.

"Can we stay like this forever" she mutters after lying in silence for a while. "Well-"

The door opens quickly and Trevoh and Callum Hudson-Odoi stare at us. "Good morning lovebirds, breakfast is ready" Trevoh says, looking at us suspiciously and showing a money sign behind his back to Callum.

Strange. They both leave and close the door. "That was unexpected, but ready for breakfast?" I ask as she looks up.

"Yes and no, the problem is, I don't want to get up" she groans. "It's 11 o'clock, you have to get up sometime" I say teasingly. "Wait, I have an idea" I say with a mischievous grin.

She just frowns and stays on the bed while I crawl out. I grab her hands and pull her into a sitting position. "What are you-" she tries to say but then starts screaming.

"Kai put me down, idiot "I took her by the waist and carry her on my shoulder. "You wouldn't get up, so I had to do it differently." I say when I carry her out of the spare room.

"Can you please stop hitting me, because I can still drop you" I say as I roll my eyes when I walk into the kitchen. That stops her immediately.

POV: Aurelia

I stopped hitting Kai and hear Trevoh say to Calum "I told you so, now where's my twenty euros". Were they making a bet? Ah, maybe that's why he did a money sign behind his back. But about what?

"Oh hey guys" Trevoh says when he sees us walking in. Kai puts me on a stool at the kitchen counter, I glare at him for a moment and say hello back to Trevoh.

"So, what were you talking about?" I ask them. "Oh, uh, nothing special" says Callum as he scratches his neck akwardly.

I raise my eyebrows in suspicion, but say nothing else. "Look, I made scrambled eggs!" Trevoh says, holding up the pan to show off his creation. "Looks good, but knowing Trevoh, it won't taste good" says Kai as Callum and him laugh for a moment from how Trevoh's face falls down.

"You haven't even eaten my food yet" he defends as he puts the pan back in its place.

"Trev, we all know you can't cook, Jorginho nearly fainted the last time you made spaghetti" Kai makes clear.

"Rude" Trevoh mutters under his breath.

"It can't be that bad, let me taste it" I try to reassure him. 

His smile returns to his face and then he passes the pan and a fork to me.

It will probably not be so bad. I take a bite and it tastes really good. The boys look at me impatiently, waiting for a reaction. Oh, wait, the aftertaste, too much salt. Did he put a whole pot in it? Damn. 

I try to keep my face as neutral as possible, so as not to disappoint him. "And?" Kai asks as he looks at me with an amused expression. "It tastes really good, it really does!" I say as I stick my thumb up, not giving away my facial expression.

"Ha, I knew it" Trevoh shouts as he walks up to me and hugs me tightly, before he starts running around the house. When he is out of sight I drop my act and look at the other two boys. "Water, I need water" I say as I wave my hand in front of my face.

They both burst into laughter and bring me a glass of water.

"Everything okay?" Kai asks between his laughter. "He used a bit too much salt" I say as I drink the last bit of water. Trevoh comes back into the kitchen after his moment of joy.

"You have made me the happiest man on earth" he says with his hands over his heart.

I smile at him, poor boy. I see my phone lying on the table, someone probably put it there. I open my phone and see that the group chat has exploded. Great, I'll have a look later, but first I'm going home.

"It was really sweet of you to make breakfast, but I think I'll go home" I slide out of my chair and look at Kai who is deep in his thoughts. "Are you coming?" Kai comes out of his thoughts and walks with me towards his car.

"Here" Kai says, tossing me his car keys "you can drive" I just reply with an okay and shrug my shoulders.

I close the door and go upstairs "Ah, you decided to come out too" I hear Claire say in her room. I open her door and see her cuddled up with Timo, watching a film. They literally saw a film yesterday. I first say hello to Timo and then talk to them for a while.

"Guys, you make me so single, it's really unfair" I say as I see them cuddle closer. "Not for long" Claire whispers as Timo laughs at her answer. "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

Three days have gone by and nothing special has happened except that I haven't heard much from Kai or the boys, they must be busy. Work is done and I am now on my way home.

From the moment I close the door, I hear muffled voices coming from the kitchen. When I walk in, everything becomes quiet and they stop talking. "Hey, A, come and sit down" says Claire, who is sitting next to Timo at the table. I'm a bit scared now. 

"Everything okay?" I ask as I look at the two of them warily.

They both look at each other as Timo nods his head at Claire in confirmation that she can tell, whatever she has to say. "Okay, so you know that Timo and I have been together for a while?" she says more in a statement than a question. 

I nod my head confusedly and watch her take a deep breath. Wait, they haven't broken up, have they? No they can't, right? Timo gives her a convincing nod in her direction, which motivates her to continue speaking. "Well, Timo and I have decided to live together"

Author's note:

I'm so sorry for not updating for so long, but I'm in the exam period so that's the reason. Kai is apparently ill and super many players have Corona :(

Chilly really has a heart of gold because he comes along to every Chelsea match and encourages them, but now that's no longer possible because he also tested positive for Corona :( 

I hope you're all alright and still like my book! This was also a bit of a filler chapter, I'm sorry.
