I'm Only A Fool For You [Kai Havertz]

•Chapter 14

POV: Aurelia

Today Claire and I are going to do something together, and I'm looking forward to it. In the morning I explained everything to her, and she understands. I am glad to have her in my life. "What do you have in mind for this evening?" I ask her curiously.

"Well, we can have diner somewhere and then watch the boys have their training. Timo just sent me a message if I want to go and watch and you can come along, if you don't mind" 

"Yeah sounds good, what time are we leaving?" I ask her as I scroll through Instagram. "In half an hour, so wouldn't you put your clothes on already" she says shaking her head because I'm still in my work clothes.

"Half an hour!" I shout, hurrying upstairs.  She couldn't have told me that earlier, could she? I put on my clothes and pick up my bag with my money, my phone and other useful things.

I take another look in the mirror and then rush down the stairs. "I'm here, I'm here! How many minutes do we have left?" I say in a panting voice as I turn my head to look at the clock.

"I may have lied a bit, we won't be gone for another hour, and before you start saying something, otherwise you'll still be in your work clothes and we'll definitely be late" she defends herself, putting on the face of a mother who has found something you couldn't find.

I still find it strange that you look for something and don't find it, but then when your mother looks for it, she magically finds it.

"You sneaky little bitch" I mutter under my breath.

"Huh, what did you say?"

"Oh, nothing important."

...

We've arrived in time for diner, I had spaghetti carbonara and Claire had a pasta, I don't remember what kind of pasta. But she said it was great and we should definitely go back again.

We are now on our way to the boys' training. Which means that I will see Kai again. 

"Okay, we're here" Claire says as she turns off the car. "You're sure this is okay, because-" she doesn't let me finish my sentence. "Yes, Timo asked us himself, so it's okay".

"Alright" I get out of the car and walk towards Stamford Bridge with Claire. It reminds me of the one time Kai and I played football.

Where I won against him, in case you don't remember. I was proud and I still am. We both take a seat in the stands and watch the boys train.

Timo waves in our direction and gives Kai an elbow in his side, then he says something to him and points at us. Kai's face goes from confused to a happy smile. His gaze meets mine as he waves enthusiastically.

I wave back and see all the team players watching Kai and Timo's behaviour. They turn their heads and all wave at Claire and me too. I see Ben and Reece waving hysterically. "Idiots" I whisper and let out a laugh.

We watch the boys train and talk in between, it is really nice. "Hey Aurelia, Claire! Come over here!" shouts Mason as he makes a hand gesture to come over.

"Let's go" Claire takes my hand and stands up. "Wait, but that's not allowed at all" I try to say, but it fails when she just takes me further to the pitch.

The sun is already setting and now an orange glow shines over the stadium. "Ahhh there they are, our future goalkeeper and our drama queen" Mason says as he stands next to Reece with Jorginho, Callum and Ben.

Huh, only Kai knew that, maybe he told him, who knows? The rest of the team jogs over as well "Training is done, so would you like to get to know the team a little better" Mason says looking at me only, because Claire already knows exactly who they are.

"Yeah, sure!" I follow Mason to the middle of the pitch. We sit down in a kind of circle, well more of an oval, but who cares?

I already know the boys a bit from the party, but not completely, so time to make friends, hopefully.

In the corner of my eye I see Tammy walking towards us to sit with us, he hasn't seen me yet. "Lads this is-" Mason tries to say, but he is cut off by someone.

"Aurelia!" Tammy shouts as he attacks me with a hug. Tammy and I became good friends at the party and are now partners in crime. We trash-talk fashion trends and make great jokes.

"I didn't recognise you from so far, how are ya?" he says when we do our own cool handshake.

"Good and you?" I ask him as I wait for an answer, but Mason starts fake coughing. "So like I said, this is Aurelia most of you know her, but some not yet."

I hear a lot of hello's and hi's coming towards me.

Tammy and I sit down with Kai on the other side of me. "You didn't tell me you were going to watch our training" Kai whispers as he leans a little to the side. "Surprise I guess?" I smile, a warm bubbly feeling coming up. He just shakes his head and laughs along with me.

We are now all chatting and making jokes with each other. "Hey, Aurelia, are you single?"  The question is from an enthusiastic Trevoh. That was very unexpected, but I answer him nevertheless "Yeah, why?" I ask with a confused face.

"Well, there is someone-" he starts to tell, but abruptly stops talking when his gaze comes into contact with Thiago Silva, who moves his hands in a way of 'stop talking further'.

I look at him and he stops with his hand "Oh, uh, yeah, just loosen the wrists, you know the drill" Thiago says as he turns his wrists around dramatically now.

That was strange. I just nod and continue talking to N'Golo Kanté, yes all those lessons in French class have not been for nothing.

We exchanged numbers and immediately created a group chat. I think for a moment and choose the name Netflix and Chilwell. Ben looks up from his phone and we make eye contact.

"Oh you son of a-" he starts running towards me as I hear laughter from the others. "Fuck, why are footballers so fast" I groan as I come up behind Kai and grab him from behind. "Help me, please" I plead as I am still hiding behind him.

"What should I do exactly?" he asks with a grin on his face. "I don't know, tell him I want peace, or something like that."

 Wait where is Ben now? Suddenly I feel arms starting to tickle me.

"AHHHH" I let out a cry of fright and see that it is Ben. "Help me Kai, I'm being attacked by mister Chilwell" I say out of breath from laughing.

Ben stops and I start to catch my breath again. "Karma is a bitch they say" he says sticking his tongue out like a three year old. Well, Taylor Swift has a different opinion on karma.

I straighten up again and stand next to Kai, he swings an arm over my shoulders and looks me in the eyes. We look at each other with satisfaction, before I ask him a question. "And did they like the cookies?"

"I hear cookies, who has cookies?!"I see Antonio Rüdiger looking in all directions. We all laugh at his words until Kai speaks up. "She was talking about the cookies she gave to the team."

"Oh, they were really good, do you still have some?" Antonio asks me as he is playfully slapped on the head by César Azpilicueta. "Sorry about him, he has an obsession with food, which the coach doesn't like very much" I just smile back at César.

These guys are so chaotic, but that's why I like them.
