[trigger warning: mental illness, death]

📍 Camelot

June, 504 AD

"Sword, bow, quiver, a bunch of arrows, cool armour thingy, shield..." I listed as I sneaked some things from the armoury into the wagon, going around the room like it was a grocery store. "Astra! You cannot steal all these things from them!" Merlin scolded me, holding a sword in his hand. "You're stealing a sword!" I retorted. "Borrowing," my dear friend specified, making me huff. "Well, I'm borrowing these, too!" I defended, crossing my arms as the sorcerer rolled his eyes.

"Anyways, you'll be glad to hear that I've prepared a special playlis–" I froze when Gwen and Morgana suddenly entered the room. "A play...a list of games we can play on the road," I changed the course, giving the girls an innocent smile while they stared at me in confusion. "Ah, great," Merlin mumbled, making me glare at him.

"I have packed some armour for you, Merlin," Gwen informed, ignoring my statement. "Thank you, but we will not be able to carry all that," he replied, giving her a sad look. It was true, the wagon was nearly full. "You will not have to," Morgana piped in. The sorcerer and I shared a frown. "We are coming with you!" the Lady announced with a grin. My jaw dropped. "What do you mean?" Merlin wondered. "Uh, Merls, it's pretty self-explanatory!" I shot with a chuckle, earning another eye-roll.

The girls laughed.

"You are going to need all the help you can get. I can mend armour and sharpen swords," Gwen noted, smiling sweetly up at the boy. "And I know how to fight," Morgana added with a smirk. I grinned at them, grateful that they were willing to do this for us.

"But. You. You cannot!" Merlin protested, making the three of us frown at him. "I-I mean. Why would y-you?" the sorcerer stuttered, clearly amazed by the girls' kindness. "If it was the other way around, you two would help us. You already have. You saved my life," Gwen explained her decision in a soft but decisive tone. "And you helped me get the druid boy out of Camelot. We owe it to you. Both of us," the Lady added.

"All right, dream team!" I cheered with a smile.
